My grandson's father's mother is supposedly Rod's love child from a one night stand in the late 1960s, and now that she has passed I feel safe to tell this story. Whether he was or not, she certainly believed so and from what I am told, during the last year of her life she would often get drunk and cry while listening to his music, telling the kids how upset she was to never meet her father. And there is a resemblance between him and her, and their families. Very sad, and so is the fact that my beautiful grandson has no living grandfathers ;0( Except maybe one famous one we will never be able to prove.
