But for today's video, we will be covering the rise of bluey, including some stuff about it's origin, initial reception, and it's recent boom, as well as some reasons behind it. Enjoy!

I remember I first encountered this show on Twitter especially considering that a close friend of mine was greatly into it. Heck, I quickly grew more closer to the show where I was even making fan art and YTPs of them. I'm literally still thanking that friend of mine to this day for pretty much introducing me to such beauty. :)
One of my good friends also kind of liked it (well he mainly watched it with his sisters) but i thought it was just peppa pig as an australian. But i got a bit curious by watching some ytps then watching every episode i could that was out at the time.
Here's the story of how I came across Bluey:
It was around the year of 2018, and I was visiting my grandma's house and I decided to watch TV and believe it or not, Bluey was on TV and it was the episode Bike, which was the first ever Bluey episode I watched.
I’m glad that people are getting into Bluey. When I first joined RUclips back in December 2021, I never had anyone to talk to about Bluey. Although I do have people now, it’s a little bit odd that most of the people to talk to are adults. Not that adults can’t watch Bluey, but I cannot relate to them. But besides that, I love that everyone is getting into this amazing show. One thing I am confused about is that my mom doesn’t like Bluey (in fact she hates the show) when she usually loves kid shows and movies, and there are people in their 40’s who love the show, so I don’t understand why my mom doesn’t. She doesn’t know what she’s missing.

I actually got into bluey around Christmas at 2022 at first I was surprised how calming the show helped me.
I'd heard about Bluey in passing a couple of times, but I didn't look into it. Then, I saw that Spilling the Milk started reacting to it, and I thought, "Okay, if THESE guys are reacting to it, then it's probably worth a look." So I booted up Disney + and started watching, becoming so hooked that I binged the entire first season in just two or so days.
I'm still in the process of watching Season 2 (I've gotten a couple episodes past Sleepytime, but the Owl House finale distracted me), but I've gotta say it's the perfect comfort show for me.
I’m wondering how bluey has a perfect family meanwhile I can’t feel safe being near my mom dad step dad or step mom
Because it's a cartoon for kids, irl things are a little bit different, your family can be good, bad but I am pretty sure every family is not perfect

Average Bluey fan
I argue in Australia (where I live), Bluey has become the next Mickey Mouse, a character that is instantly iconic and recognisable.
Edit: Actually, I feel like Bluey is more like the next SpongeBob.
I watched Bluey grow from late 2020 and I’m so shocked at how much it’s progressed in popularity overtime
here in Brazil, bluey is not very popular, in fact it is very little known around here, I only know bluey because once when I was researching information about the owl house, I ended up meeting bluey and got interested
If it wasn't for Disney Junior I wouldn't able to see Bluey in the First Place

Glad I am not the only RUclipsr who is a fan of Bluey. When I first heard of it, I wasn't really into it, but a while later, I started getting more and more into it, and loving the show!
You exposed me to Bluey! I started watching your videos in 2021, took a break, and started again before starting the show last fall.
If Bluey does end up like the MLP fandom then at least Bluey fans will realise that the MLP fandom isn't bad. It's litterally the same as every fanbase. There are just more problematic people than usual.
I hate when people say mean things about the MLP fandom when most of them are just normal people who just so happen to enjoy something. There is legitimately nothing wrong with that.
I used to be a Brony. The reason why I stopped was due to MLP itself going downhill in my opinion. The fanbase aren't bad people at all from the experiences I've had.

There is something refreshing about Bluey. A kids show which is targeted for all ages, have lovable and relatable characters, actually teaches a valuable lesson, and have amazing animation and voice actors. I can already understand why Bluey is at where it is today. It doesn’t follow the typical aspects of a kids show, obnoxious, and just pumped out content just to make money, but instead have lots of love put into each and every episode, characters, story, and basically everything else which makes Bluey stand out than most shows.
I personally first heard about it from pocari roo! but couldnt watch it till about a while afterwards

I’ll be honest, I found bluey through TikTok on Christmas Day, and I’ve been watching all the episodes on a TikTok account that does episode in 3 parts. It’s amazing
I first personally got into the show in early 2020 during the lockdown, because I was spending a lot of time at home, and my little sister watched it a lot on Disney Channel. And from there my interest kinda grew massively, while my sister (who's 7) kinda lost interest after a year or two x3
For me, the show gives me a lot of longing and joy because I didn't grow up with a great family, and I just really love how well written it is, it kinda inspires me to be a great parent if I ever decide to have children in the future
So, I work as a librarian. I discovered Bluey about a month ago when we added seasons 1 and 2 to our DVD collections. I checked them out, and it's become my favorite show to watch after work.
And this channel is the first one I've found, besides the official Bluey channel, that covers Bluey content. I was looking for board games and heard about some Bluey-themed ones, and that led me here.
Only real Legends will remember this video title used to be the insane rise of bluey.

I remember first finding about Bluey in 2019.. in a short clip from the episode takeaway on RUclips😂 and... I've been hooked to this show ever since!!
I discovered this show from one of the older videos around December 2022 when I saw a larger RUclipsr talk about how great the show was for people of all ages. I first watched it around January of 2023 when I was babysitting and put the show on RUclips to entertain me and the child, and fell in love with it.
I seen clips of the show on Tiktok and BY GOD! I was in love with Bluey so much! Despite being a preschool show in Australia, not only does it have life lessons to teach for the kids to understand the world, it even has lessons for the adults to become parents, healthfully communicate children and even learn how to compromise. Bluey also teaches certain topics that are mature and relatable, such as mental disorders, infertility, death and growing up. It has stories to tell that aren't just teaching valuable life lessons, but it is to entertain everyone of all ages with slice of life adventures that are engaging and also humor that are so hilarious for both age group. The animation is so gorgeous and the visuals are so beautiful. The characters are wholesome, realistic, entertaining and realistic. The music is absolutely fantastic.

I got into the show via watching full episodes of the show through my tumblr mutuals (yes, tumblr still exists). At the same time, my youtube recommendations were also getting flooded with Bluey out of context compilations and video essays. Needless to say, I was peer pressured to watch the show, and I got hooked instantly.

One of the reasons why I fell in love with the show was because with how crazy the world is right now I needed something wholesome to cheer me up
My gf asked me to watch it with her, i thought "Er why not?" Binged the show
I discovered Bluey about a year and a half ago through a small group I'm in with some friends. One of them mentioned something about Bluey and I had no idea what they were talking about. After they told me how awesome they thought the show is I decided I'd check it out. Later that evening I stumbled across an episode airing on TV and I too thought it was pretty great. I proceeded to watch the show on Disney+ and I've been a fan of Bluey ever since.
I was showed Bluey to my friend while we were in lockdown, the first episode I saw was “Keepy Uppy”. I didn’t think much of it at the time. Then, I saw “Sleepy time” and thats when I opinion for Bluey changed. During the Summer of 2021, I have became obsessed with the show. Sharing my love for it with all my friends and even teachers at school know I’m a Bluey fan! One big reason why I love Bluey is bc I’m specifically hooked on the music (as one who is very musically inclined 🎻🎵). Sooo its been kind of been living in my head since the lockdown (I was hyper fixated on another show at the time).

I got into the show about a few months ago myself even though I know about it for years. Why?
We'll it's because when I first heard about it I knew it was an ABC kids show and most ABC kids shows are fine for young kids but, boring and/or annoying for anyone older than 8 imo, so being an adult I didn't think I would enjoy it.
Than I see more and more people online talking about it, especially American's! Which is very strange because I knew this is an Aussie show, and our media very rarely has an impact outside of the country, let alone on this scale!
So than I watched it and was supirsed with how fun it is, and I'm glad it's done so well overseas, especially since the Aussie voices weren't re-dubbed to sound American.
Though some of the censorship makes me a little sad, at least it's not 4-kids level of censorship.

Why did i decide to start watching Bluey? Because i saw the channels and videos about her and my cousin was at my house so i was like, "Alrightt! Let's watch this to stop my cousin from screaming and cryng all day!"
I think I got into bluey around 2020 like right before the pandemic started, my younger siblings were watching copycat on Disney Junior and I remember thinking, “holy crap this kids show acknowledges DEATH??” So I catch a couple episodes and look it up online but all I see are articles announcing this new show coming to Disney. Man how times have changed!!!
Hate me if you will but I only learned about Bluey through Abbott Elementary when that episode aired. However I did watch Arthur for years as an adult so…

Honestly, yeah, I've started watching the show like two weeks ago and I've also noticed the sudden rise in popularity at that same time. Like, In a way that I didn't feel natural to me. As in, it can't be JUST social media algorhytms showing me that much Bluey content, part of it has to be that there's simply a lot of it for me to see.
I think this is just a natural case of a bunch of factors coming together at the right time to make something viral, and I think I just coincidentally started watching it in that time.
Heck, maybe I finally decided to give the show a try BECAUSE it got this sudden boost in popularity, since it all started with me coming accross clips of the show on TikTok.
I was watching TV with my little nephews and they wanted to watch bluey. I’d heard great things from theodd1sout and other RUclipsrs I like so I switched on bluey. After the first 2 or so episodes, I just sat there and watched all the way to halfway through season 2 before I fell asleep. After that, I tried to find full episodes on RUclips, but that failed so I went to refit to find free options. I now watch 2 or 3 episodes before I go to sleep because it calms me down and makes me feel better about my stressful life.
well i found it partially by saberspark but by seeing a few of your videos i finally watched all of the show plus i needed a wholesome show since mlp fim ended and there is not much of the current generation of mlp up at the moment

actually i don't remember how i first discoverd bluey I THINK it was through a disney channel comercail????? but like when i first started watching basically i kept seeing posts on tiktok and twitter about it and like friends on discord kept talking about it and sense i had disney plus i decided to check bluey out and i thought it was really cute and i liked it alot and kept watching

The show had been on my radar for a while as a show I knew existed, but what made me finally decid to watch it was TheOdd1sOut’s video.

It’s funny my dad was at a local auto shop getting his car worked on and he saw a scene from “baby race” pop up on the screen in the shop waiting room and immediately sent me a screenshot of it. I laughed pretty hard at it but I thought it was cool how he recognized bandit almost immediately.
I came across Bluey a few times scrolling through Disney+. Seeing the logo I thought the style looked good but I still didn’t check it out cuz it looked like a kids show which wasn’t what I was looking into and suspected since it’s modern day it’d be horrible. But then after I turned 21 in July 2022 I joined a gym that has a daycare that I can see into right behind the front desk and they would turn on Bluey almost all the time. First glance of the show I immediately thought the animation and character design looked amazing and after days of going and getting a bunch of glances, I decided to watch it for myself and OMG I’m so happy to discover this masterpiece.

I discorved Bluey becuase of my sister, brother in law, and my neices, a few episodes played at my sister's house(monkey jox, burger shop, and the episode with bluey and the typewritter(forget the name of that episode.)) And now I am in love with this series.
The name of the episode with the typewriter is called Typewriter. Most of the names of the episodes are named after the game of the episode.

I discovered the show because of a close friend of mine. I had seen content from the show prior, usually in passing glances from Twitter and television. But I never got fully into it until this year, when it changed my whole perspective on life.
It motivated me to start working out again, looking for jobs, eat better, and nurture the child in me while I look towards the future with a more positive outlook. Bluey (as well as her dad, Bandit) have really made me feel more… happy, about myself. Like I can finally love myself. Like I have a dad who cares about me. And that was a lot. But it was what I needed, and still need

I remember in year 5 i hated it I thought it was just australian peppa pig. But slowly i got curious. I started watching ytps of it before then binging all the episodes that were out at the time. Lucky i live in australia because i have abc iview.
Pony fan here. I don't think it'll be anything like the brony fandom. I've been into Bluey for like a year now, and.. nah. MLP community started out as like a joke on 4chan in 2010 when internet culture was so goddamn different. People used to get called gay for liking it in a bad way. The community in 2023 is extremely different, but also nothing like the Bluey fandom. There's still things I don't understand about the bronies despite being a fan since 2014, like nsfw aspects as I'm a repulsed asexual, but I can tell they're different enough not to "overlap" that way I guess you could say.

Around summer 2022, I was watching a video about how cocomelon damages kids’ brains, and Bluey was used as a comparison. Then I think I watched some videos from this channel, and within a few months, I knew a lot about it. But I don’t actively watch full episodes because I don’t really have anything to watch it on and I won’t get something just for Bluey.
After TheOdd1sout brings attention to Bluey, it’s going to become mainstream and the popularity will be unimaginable
I got into The Show, after I had My Surgery in The Hospital back in July 2022. I didn't have Much to watch, and I didn't have My Phone with me, so I ended up watching some Bluey, and I enjoyed it. Once I got home, I watch More Bluey on Disney Plus, and have become a Fan of The Series ever since.

I found out about Bluey from Saberspark and gave it a try. I fell in love immediately and wanted to show it to my 3-year-old daughter. However, no network bought the show in Serbia, so we started watching it on Disney Jr. but in English (Disney is not dubbed in Serbia), which was a bummer for my kid, but she loved it either way. Luckily, we found out that Croatian national television has dubbed Bluey on their program. We started watching it there, and she's been hooked on it ever since, as well as my wife and I. Still, no merch can be found in Serbia, or any mentions about the show.
