I played a tiny bit of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, to the point where I beat half the staff ghosts and 3 starred the cups, but now I just like to watch. Nice to have an understanding of the game especially from a 200cc standpoint to appreciate just how good guys like you are. Also I used to have the Wario Stadium N64 world record back in the day haha.

i did enjoy watching you destry everybody on worldwides lol, speeding up the vid was nice tho also it could help in seeing some better strats for the tracks that are not played as much in competitive

I'm the type of guy who plays this game with the dpad buttons on the joycon and still goes for all the shortcuts (about 30% successfully). If you want to spice up the worldwides, you could always use one of those fancy randomizers to decide your combo

One thing I can seem to figure out is how to break away without getting hit by items, all the pro players are able to front run. Is it luck? Or just something I’m doing wrong? 2 years ago i was able to come first atleast twice in an online match but lately I seem to have lost the magic
I'm gonna be honest I keep thinking about that. that there are some "casual" players who are top 0.1% of players world wide and have no idea because mk is just a thing they do for fun after work.
Love watching this game! I dont play it because too expensive where i live. Would feel really guilty to burn 2 salaries on a console i would rarely have time and energy to play. I've been having fun casually playing mk on my DS i got as a kid like 12 years ago. Snaking is so satisfying lol
Time trial without mushrooms, and compare your lines to the current (shroomless) World Records that use the online meta combos. The Shroomless leaderboards have it's own discord and spreadsheet which are both in my discord
I use pro controller, but it's basically the same as connected joycons which I know a lot of pro players use as well. So you don't gotta go out of your way to buy one

do u think the pro controller worked better for you? I need to buy a new controller and i use connected joycons bc i like how they are smaller (similar size to the DS which I played a lot back in the day)@@PavelR1
