- It's time for another Hockey Road Trip! At the start of the CHL season, Jesse, Corwin and DZ decided to take a trip to Peterborough to visit one of the most historic teams in the OHL...the Petes!

@Tr00py • That was funny to watch indeed 😆 I forget the TSN guy’s name who arm wrestled the “Pete’s” Captain but yes the “Pete’s” kid is only 17 & still developing obviously & i’m not sure how old that TSN guy is but i’m guessing around mid to late 20’s which can be a big difference obviously.
Man I feel bad for the hood of Corwin’s car. Jesse had to retape that about 15 times 😂😂

13:00 I think the reason in a lot of OHL rinks the benches are on opposite sides is because its to prevent bench brawling which the OHL is kind of famous for.
They do that in the whl to Im going to assume for similar read ons

I always love going into my hometown OHL team's arena in the Peterborough Petes. That team and building is incredibly historic.
As a journalist, I get to go there often for press conferences and conduct interviews. Eventually the company I work for will move into game coverage. The Petes are fantastic to work with and talk to.

William Allman Arena located in Stratford ON, has been unchanged (aesthetically) since it’s open in 1924. Ed Olczyk, Rob Blake, Chris Pronger, and Tim Taylor all played for their Junior B team and Wayne Gretzky actually scored his first ever minor league goal in that arena!

This was awesome because I live I Colorado but we always go visit our grandparents in Sault Ste Marie, MI and sometimes we go to Ontario but Peterborough looks so much like the Soo and the locks reminded me so much about it so much, also love me some Luca, rating my top 5 favorite guys it’s 1.Luca because of the flow 2.Corwin because I’m kinda bandwagon 3.Jesse because he’s funny 4.Z because like come on he’s the voice of bardown 5.Vince because I love the old videos with him. I recently discovered this cool TSN RUclips channel & am enjoying it thus far. This particular video i found hilarious & informative imo. I didn’t know that Wayne Gretzky played for the “OHL” Peterborough Petes but when i looked into it, it says that Gretzky only played 3 games for the “Petes” in 1976-77 season as a 15yr old & was a call up from the Jr.B “Seneca Nationals” in which he tallied up a total of 3 assists. It’s still really cool though imo for the city of Peterborough & the Peterborough Petes organization to say that the “Great One” played for the “Petes” 👍

Here’s a nice little road trip: Ottawa/Gatineau. Hit 3 games in 3 different leagues (NHL, QMJHL, and OHL), and a skate on the Rideau Canal.

I have went to a Pete’s vs generals game 2-3 times before and man do they ever have a rivalry one time the goalies got in a fight while there was like 2 or 3 other fights happening at the same time

You should go to Kamloops and watch a Blazers game. Not only does the team have a lot of history, but Kamloops is the tournament capital of Canada so there is lots of sporting activities you can do in the town.
