You could track eating out as a sub category of miscellaneous, if you want to keep track of your true grocery costs. Happy Thanksgiving Break week! We are out after Tue! 🎉😂

I feel your pain- that variable spending gets me every time. Also, if the grocery stores could bring the prices back down soon, I'd greatly appreciate it 😂 😂

Give yourself some grace. It’s hard to work all day and come home and still cook dinner. ❤

I think variable spending is the hardest part of budgeting to stay within the budget 😅 you are not the only one ❤

Good morning Jennifer! Have you thought of either getting an Insta pot or do you have a crockpot that is digital? That way dinners can be very easy and fast! I actually hate to cook and I work from home and it drives me nuts but my digital crockpot after it’s done cooking switches over to the warm mode so it doesn’t continue to cook. It just keeps everything warm And my Insta pots cause I have more than one lol, it’s pretty much come home throw the meat and vegetables in or whatever I’m doing popped the lid on and I have two Insta pots right now. I’m plan to get a third reason for that is I can do different things for my meal in different Insta pot run. Take a shower by time I’m out of the shower and dressed For the night. I have dinner pretty much almost done. Insta pot are usually ready to open and make meals! Sometimes I put meat in one pasta sauce and another and noodles in the other that way, I can have the sauce heated up through and I only put that on about two or three minutes for the sauce since it’s already cooked and in a jar, I put the meat on for high-pressure at 30 minutes and then I put my pasta noodles high-pressure on for just a few minutes! By the time I’m out of the shower, I will hit all three of the buttons release the pressure drain the meat, mince it up and throw it into the pasta sauce, which is already bubbling, hot drain noodles and then throw in some garlic toast and we have dinner and no time flat without all the hustle and hassle of making things over a hot stove! Just maybe a side thought for you to think about. I use my crockpots all the time, and they always stay out. I don’t believe in just crock I believe in crockpots here around! Make a lot of different meals from that including peppers and sausage, homemade soups, you could do meatloaf and a crockpot. There’s so many different meals that we do in a crockpot, including the one that I remember that you made that we make all the time with the cream cheese and the chicken I got that one from you along time ago into this day, even with the rotelle tomatoes and things we still use that meal because my kids go crazy over it.

Great video Jennifer. Maybe you should have a category for eating out.

If I may suggest…. On the monthly checkin you call one thing Gas H and on the budget sheet you call it alliance. I suggest keeping names the same when there is only 1 source. (I know food may have multiple sources so that one I understand.)

Are you a member of your theatre’s club. Most will give you discounts on tickets and concessions. You go enough that it is probably worth the membership fee.
