Shroud has stated many times he doesn't believe hes as good as hes made out to be. He thinks he should be known for being able to pick up any FPS and be instantly "good" at the game from experience. IMO that guy is going to go down as one of the best ever FPS players. Alot of the so called "best" stick with 1 game CS/COD etc... Mike can do it all and then some.
Yeah, Shroud's capability is what makes him a great overall gamer. But once he hits the top competition of a particular game, he can't handle it. Might be because he's focused on streaming, but his performance has been evidenced before he was famous. He never really got any top-tier highlights like s1mple, zywoo, woxic, xantares, niko, and so many others that did and have done. Because Shroud wasn't at that level, he was mediocre in terms of professional level. Everyone knew n0thing and skadoodle were much better, including brax, in cloud9. Shroud was never an outstanding player (his performance at tournaments wasn't really that special whatsoever, hence why stewie2k said that shroud was dragging the team down and cloud9 needed a better player). He just got lucky with those no-scopes (which are pure luck anyway), that made it to the top of the subreddit of CSGO. Apart from that, unfortunately, no good real highlights from him (maybe 1 or 2, but that's it). Comparing his CSGO highlights with other top players at the time, nothing special, but that's partly because it's NA (I mean, overall, NA players are way worse than EU players lol). Sad to see Jordan go from the competitive scene tho. Such an asset. My man needs the same recognition as shroud got.
