Damn, Woman was an apartment wrestler? Wow that I never knew. This is why I love this ch. you’re knowledgeable and enjoyable to listen to! Thanks for the videos.
As always great video. I never heard of Wrestling All Stars. But here in Germany we only got PWI and The Wrestler magazines back in the 80's. Your videos are always a wealth of information.
Thanks dude. Hey I always wondered where the PWI issues in Germany in English? I just recently heard from someone that Stanley Weston had Boxing magazines in another language, I wondered if they did for wrestling. I’d love to find some. Weston’s Boxing mags also had a UK issue called Boxing Pictorial. It was a blend of World Boxing and international Boxing. They had totally different covers but the same content inside.
Bill seems as if our respective crushes when we were younger worked against one another. As I recall Fallen Angel wrestled Debbie Combs for Polynesian Pro which was The Rock’s grandmother’s promotion. Obviously so sad about Nancy. Debbie is still with us, working as a bounty hunter out of Florida. Still a total badass apparently. Thanks for the video!
Well if I remember correctly I’d say Angels match against Debbie was more of Debbie destroying Angel lol, she had no offense and Debbie didn’t go easy on her either. I forgot about that. I have the whole show on dvd. Now I gotta pop it in and watch it. I think she also got in the ring for a match for the ICW the Savoldi company in New England. Her Kevin and the Haze wrestled there a lot in the 80s while they were in Florida they’d go back and forth. When she came to the ECW we had to fight for ringside seats because of her lol.
Sad end for Nancy, but, she had a good legit run in the business..Somewhere (heaven or hell) I hope Kevin is eternally kicking Chris's ass! Good stuff as usual, grateful for all the work/effort but forth in these posts. 👍
Yes! I’m with you and hope Kevin or anyone is making that pos eternally miserable. I always found her murder very eerie. I know her Fallen Angel times were just a gimmick, but the end that she meet was ironic and very much the work of the devil. I just hope it was quick and no one suffered. As a teen in the 80s I thought she was the hottest thing in a dirty way. Thanks to him when I see her now it’s depressing. Thanks for watching man.
You can tell a lot about a wrestling fan who skips right over the Junk Yard Dog cover magazine with no comments like all the rest, rip Sylvester Ritter🎉
Ahhh No, nothing personal against the Dog. Always loved JYD. I don’t pre plan these videos, my minds is racing a mile a min. And that is another reason I dislike a posed cover. They don’t set me up much for discussion. It’s much easier to talk about a match/feud in progress on a cover. I don’t think JYD was ever used right in the WWF. We missed out on what could have been some awesome feuds like he had in mid south. I thought the feud with Funk was gonna be a bloody war! But sadly that never amounted to much. Thanks for watching.
Bill schooling the douchebags -- ya gotta love it! Always had a soft spot for those early Wrestling All Stars. I don't think I actually ever had any as a kid but for some reason when I think back to that time -- these stars & stripes issues always come into my head. Something just screams 80's wrestling to me. Also, two videos in a week? I APPROVE!
Ha Funny! But yea the All Stars issues easily overlooked on the shelves at the time. The covers weren’t the most appealing to most. And not all the stores carried either. Out of all 9 newsstands In my surrounding area 3 maybe 4 sold it. Thanks for watching. Appreciate it
I may comment more later, but just wanted to note the Woman/Nancy Benoit thing. No offense to fans (or Randy Savage or Lex Luger) of Miss Elizabeth, but she never really did anything for me. Woman on the other hand really made me think certain thoughts probably better not written here. It took awhile before there was anyone that matched her for me and by then I was largely out of wrestling.
Well, there’s not a very good way for me to say this, except for the truth and how I truly really feel. I keep the channel about the magazines only. It’s not a place to debate who’s the best and who sucks and why. Those lame and shallow discussions are infested all over social media and all it does is start an argument for nothing. That’s why there’s non of that here. I try to stay in the middle with my likes and hates but sometimes my hate spews out a little bit. I very much like wrestling in the later years. It just wasn’t as easy to find as the entertainment that some called wrestling. I’ve only ever “watched” Guerrero in the WCW, I never paid any attention to him because I’m not into smaller wrestlers who flip and fly around. I never watch a single match with Angle, I find him too nauseating. I don’t see any related to the WWF into the 90s. Mania 3 was the last show I ever watched, I’d catch a few tv matches here and there til 88 or so. But by 1989 the initials WWF no longer existed to me. Danielson, I never heard of him, I’m assuming he’s a WWF guy. I won’t watch anyone with the stench of the WWF on them. For a long time I’d only watch Japan and certain Indy companies. Anymore it’s old tapes and rarely venture out of that time period. When I hate something or someone it gets completely erased from my life. It’s hard to explain in a message let’s use a president for example. A lot people get so caught up in their hate for the president that it consumes their lives. He’s constantly on their minds, they follow his every move, they watch every interview, and then bitch about how much more they hate them. That’s insane to me. When I hate something, I don’t even think about it. It’s not longer thought about because it puts me in a really bad mood. There for my hatred and distain for Vince McMahon prevents me from watching anything related to him or any of his “superstars.” I’m quite sure this is not the answer you wanted to hear. But speaking honestly that’s how it is for me! I have nothing good to say about today’s guys, because I don’t know anything about them nor am I interested to watch them. I love pro wrestling, I only follow the times that I loved. As hard as that may seem to believe l can’t name 5 ppl in the WWF. (I say F because I’ll never speak that “E” bullshit. Quite frankly, I’m glad they changed the name and separated themselves for it. Because the entertainment comedy acrobat hour is a slap of the face to the men who wrestled before them..

Yea too bad we didn’t get an apartment match with Woman vs Seka. Thanks for always watching and chiming in bud!
Great video. Brings back a lot of memories.
Thanks man!

A fun look back. Thanks.

I'm going to need more info on this apartment wrestling with these women 😊

Oh yea. Agree 100%
I know you didn't like wrestling much in the later years, but what did you think of Kurt Angle, Eddie Guerrero and Bryan Danielson?
