every pup did a great job
Australian Shepard and border collies are great
I fully agree :)
Border collies and Australian shepherds are my favorite kind of breeds.
Me too
Me too! ❤️🐶
Clara Aussie yeah 😃
Gamer Jackson I have a Border Collie her name is Roxy :D
+Jenny71026 Me too!
Border collie- the best of all breeds!
Finally! Another BC fan.
Dennis Taylor many people love them!
I'd like to see a border collie take on my berner in a draft competition or compete against a bloodhound in tracking. No breed is the best breed, they're all good at different jobs and each has its fans.
And the most annoying lol Border collies are a full time job
Ryan C But, it's well worth it though, isn't it?
The Lurcher was a beautiful dog!! Love all the Border Collies. They all did so good!! Congrats to the dogs!! I just subscribed to Crufts, I do not know how I didnt find out about this earlier. Cant wait to see the rest of the Crufts videos. :)
xemilyxthoroughbredx - Crufts is in the UK, and you can follow all the action from Crufts2013 on the official Crufts channel streaming live from March 7-10
Laughed when the commentator called the Republic of Ireland competitor the Northern Irish one and never corrected himself lol.
All of them are amazing dogs!
I absolutely adore dogs, my favourite breeds being border collies, German shepherds, Australian shepherds and Siberian Huskies
It is amazing how these do the jumps and do these hard things!
it is. Glad to know I wasnt the only one to notice
I love the international competitions, it really shows how our sport has spread around the world :-) Amazing!
"us with the unusual running shoes" I can't
my grandmother has a border collie, wich i used to do som agility with, just for fun in the backyard and in the woods, but we both really enjoyed, unfortunately she's too old now, has a little bad hips, but she's still a great dog, and i love her very much, we grew up toghether :')
The age and health are important, but the main thing is the dogs training and natural willingness to do it. THAT is why BC are preferred, they simply love to do it and are intelligent and learn quickly.
The person working the clock is seriusly sleeping...
+Thomas Beck
No, its automatically timed, not a stopwatch.
They have the electronic timer, and some people timing by hand in case the electronic timer stops working
I love this course, think I will try it out myself.
Amazing run by Tori and Rev! Love that team
Gotta love how almost every dog is a border collie XD
But don't forget, Aussies are great too ;)
Agility starts at 7:20 :)
Congrats to all! Great work.
The background music when they list the places has spirit stallion of the cimarron soundtrack :D
its amazing what they will do when you teach them!
I miss competing. I plan to get back into this, this summer.
whenever i'm at the dog park i can't stand the temptation of doing the obstacles by myself after watching all the dogs play :P
Not long to go till Crufts 2013!
The live feed will be streamed at /officialcrufts from the 7th-11th March.
Which event is everyone looking forward to the most?
yup.
They are a working breed so they love to please and do there job. I was going to get one but i got a sheltie instead.
Mixed breeds are welcome!! You don't need a purebred dog to do trials. Your dog might not win... but he can compete. My dog is mixed breed, and if he grow strong enough (his hips aren't good yet) I'm going to put him into agility. Even if it's only for fun and exercise... it's great to do!
Omg! The music at the beginning was from the movie Spirit! :•
i have a border colie . i love them so much, they are wonderful
She's amazing!!!!!!!!!
This video is hilarious! Right from the start with the competitors not coming out in the correct order, then the 'white dog's guide falling on his arse, the clock times being hilariously incorrect... what a comedy of errors, the organisers of this show should be taken out back like Old Yeller. ;)
I understand that, Iv trained dogs in agility for about two years on and off with a neighbor who did it full time.
I just find it odd that they don't have an event specific for other breeds seeing as we trained a variety of breeds.
anybody else notice the Spirit theme playing in the background
Awsome ! I love the Belgian team !!!!
I used to do this with my Pitbull mix. He is amazing at it! Makes me want to go set up some jumps!
Outch, ça doit etre vachement impressionant quand tu arrive sur le parcours ! Le stress doit monter en flèche !!
training is a blast.. My Jack did agility but didnt like it.He also did flyball but other dogs didnt interes him. As long as they get to run alot and learn everyday you'll have an awesone and happy dog.Good luck..let us know when he does your taxes
Hey! is that the Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron song I hear in the background at the beginning? :) Hehe. Great show, great music, and lovely dogs!!
I hope I'm able to run Tucker once I get Agility down. I'm a Junior Handler (Age 15) and I would love to compete!
i love dogs, collies especially, but what I love the most is hearing a commentator say 'little bitch'
@21:10 BRAVO à @Agility54 AMANDINE et BLUE EYES !!!! Une fierté française !
Quality pls!
I love that they're playing the Spirit soundtrack!!!!
Border Collies are agility bosses. My boy is a Border Collie/GSD mix and we're in agility as well :D
fantastic coverage thanks,,,
great competition
I love it! My dream to compete in the Crufts!
just a side note great last run. the commentary was wondering how he could have shaved off that needed fraction of a second with Flynn. The only place I saw (but I did see it) would be their running dog walk contact. It looked more like a fast stop contact than a running.
I love watching them pounce in the yard, i'm guessing they can feel voles or moles in the ground.
No. She was playing. Very clear.
I do agility with my wheaten terrier, it helps if the dog has good stamina - he's very active and he loves it. Although it depends on the dog, my dog couldn't do falyba
lol the song when the ppl were coming in at once is from spirit.
Amandine et Blue c'était super
Shepherds, collies, and sheepdogs are the best at this event, so you a lot of people will get these breeds for agility due to their size. You rarely find any big dogs in this event since they are typically not bred for this event. But collies/shepherds are bred for this event.
Very tricky course!! Fun to watch, but very stressful to run, I'm sure!
its the same way that you only see thoroughbreds in the triple crown, or warmbloods in dressage, or quarter horses in western riding...they use the best breed for the job.
thumbs up for Belgium 15.53 that jump was hilarious :-D
The funny thing is the clock only stopped in time for the English...
msfwb Puck at 23:44 is a Kelpie, beautiful breed!
working dogs seem to be the best for agility
@ZenyattaLoverForever that's because border collies are known for simply dominating the competion in dog sports. The one other breed that preformed was scattered and confused. But the collies were unphased. This is because to the collies this isn't a game, it's a job.
for a moment I thought it's a border collie competition :D they are so cute
Awww puppies!
i love agility
Some are really good at this sport. I really liked to watch this! :P
Fantastic clever fogs
border collies just dominate these competitions
I have a Aussie for you families out here get one they are smart, fast,GREAT! guard dogs, Great herders, good for show dogs, beautiful, loyal, and great family dogs i LOVE aussies :) hope you get one
Good luck. :) training puppies is hard, but agility should be really fun for you. Make sure she's old enough to do it, though! I think I remember something about puppies needing to grow first.
It's awesome!!
I have a border collie and mine would just be running into things and making the judge stroke her
I wish they would feature other breeds of dogs unless this is a collie/shepherd specific showing.
When they ran across the field with the flags, is that background music from the movie Spirit? Or is that just me..
I'm training as a dog trainer and i got to train with a dog which was a collie names basil, He was World Champion beating 27,000 dogs.
haha in the beginning, when presenting the dogs.. anyone seen the movie called: Spirit? Some animated movie of a horse haha.
What I see are very talented dogs while some of the owners not so much so.
Was annoying to see such inconsistencies with the clock times, even if they didn't matter. Otherwise it was very enjoyable to watch.
Almost all of them were border collies. :< I wish there would be more variety in breeds!
love the song!!
from the movie spirit ♥♥
What about the Oakland California Chiwawa pitbull mix?
Agree, but I would rather say that its the owner that doesn't understand the dog or that the owner doesn't know enough about dogs and not "the problem is that your dog doesn't want to undestand you every time." Border collie are loyal, smart and lovely but not an easy dog and not for everyone.Few people of "today" has the time and energy for a working bc.For them there are other breeds/ mixes.
My Border Collie "Bonnie" could compete, but I don't think I could get through the procedure without making mistakes. So it's back to entertaining people at the park, she enjoys that a lot.
Its not suprising really about how many collies there are.
Agility
I have a working bc - he's not as hard to keep happy as many people make out, he just needs lots of mental stimulation, and a moderate amount of exercise. You don't need to do agility, herding or other dog sports, you just need to be inventive and want to spend most of your free time with your dog.
No. I have seen soooo many other dogs at trials kick butt! My mix breed has 35 ribbons she has all 1st places 3 2nd places and 1 3rd place
I have seen soo many differnt breeds!!!
Yes border collies, Shelties etc are great at it! Just depends on the dog. age and health! :)
Beautifull
the melody is from spirit- stallion of the cimaron
TY
at 4:58 there playing part of the spirit stallion of the cimmaron XD border collies are the best! i have a border collie Shetland sheep dog mix and she is the best :D
I do think some breeds are smarter than others though.. I have an American Eskimo Dog and he is very smart!!!!!! but ALL dogs are wonderful
Great.
It's so amazing *-*
casually "Spirit, Stallion of the Cimeron" playing in the background.
I have a yorkie and would love to do agility but only does it 4 treats
i love dogs too and collies
yaaaaay netherland is 2!!!
they should us the song living for agility by agility :)
That is amazing! the first one :O
Train him! My mix breed does trials!
