I really enjoy driving this car. It is great on long trips and handles nice for a large car. Lots of technology and decent gas milage.
Yes, this is Infiniti's first CVT (but not Nissan's first). If you put the knob into "Sport" mode for the transmission, it acts almost like a regular automatic. I love it----very smooth and quiet.
Nissan/Infiniti has one of the best looking dash... especially the large and colorful LCD in between the techometer and the speedometer.

I hate to say that the JX35 will be called the QX60 next year when Infiniti changes all its vehicle names. I do love this car. It rides very nice and for those that aren't a fan of the CVT transmission, this one handles incredibly nice, especially on fast windy roads. You can manually shift it and on a 2,000 mile trip, I was blown away at its performance and fuel milage. Nice video!
I think the front seats are super comfy, but then again I prefer a hard surface because I have some back issues. But I see how it could be uncomfortable for some. I drove the QX56 and it was just a BEAST. Very, very large vehicle that was difficult to park. It's a really nice SUV--SUPER nice--but once I drove the JX, I was sold. It had everything I wanted. There are so many safety and tech features on it--it's amazing.

Awesome car. I bought a 2014 Mercedes GL550 but I love the styling and interior of this car. Not a fan of CVT but it's not a dealbreaker for me

I guess becuase I was just in love with the qx56 lol. It was the nicest car I've ever driven, in my opinion. The jx is not a bad car, but compared to the qx56, it sucks. Once again, this is all my personal opinion. Oh and btw do you think the seats are comfortable? Is it just me, or are the seats extremly hard and not very comfortable?
so, this is basically the same thing as my 2012 Nissan Murano SL with a few extra options no one wants, like the "Driver Assistance Package" and a larger moon roof.
I personally don't see what's all the fuss about, it's still going to be the same vehicle

Yeah it's that ''hard surface'' that I really don't like. My mom's kia sportage has nicer seats, in my opinion. And yeah, parking the qx56 was not always the easiest task.

cvt kills thee sound, other than that is beautiful.
The CVT is a dealbreaker.
It's honestly not bad, no worse than an automatic. Sure, it's not quite as fun but its a very smooth drive and you can always put it in manual mode + sport if you want to rev it out a bit.
If you were comparing it to a 6 speed manual then yeah its pretty shite but an automatic is an automatic, besides its a family suv.
