これでは前が軽すぎてブレーキ効かないから本当はあと3cm前に出したいけど、6気筒とミッションの位置が変わってしまうから断念したんですよね。
この型のA4に乗っているので嬉しかった。ドライバーによってこれほど速くなるとは。
前の車はゼロクランで今の車とは比べられないけど、至れり尽くせりの車だった。

Thanks for english subs! The BMW looked the most stable and nuetral, torquey diesel but would not rev.Pretty good? Audi quick but understeer in places,is the engine up by the headlights as usual?Sounded refined.Crown too heavy ,needs diet and more development,good effort though.Brz needs more power,looked tail happy,I guess you were at limit.Greetings from New Zealand.
Many thanks for the subtitles, I really enjoy this show. We really like the Japanese cars in Europe, they are much more reliable that our european car even more that the german cars. I own a 30 years old Honda Legend V6 2.7l and everything (well almost everything except the oil pressure sensor and the ALB system if I drive above 120 km/h) is working! I have also a 25 years old Mazda MX5 NA 1,8l, working fine and so fun to drive. My wife drives a K13 Nissan Micra, the last real Micra. My daughter drives a 2001 Suzuki Swift 1.0l. My soon have a E87 BMW but believe, he really enjoy driving the Mazda and the Honda. I forgot to say that the Honda is my daily driver. Greetings from Belgium 🇧🇪
Agreed that reliability of Japanese cars is great. Also loved Honda Prelude which I think was the best car in my life even I own and enjoy latest BMW now. Greeting from Japan.
German Audi driver here. My car is over 35 years old and still going strong on its first engine without any major work done :)
I definitely wouldn't call any of these Japanese cars more reliable. Just looking at 2000s Mazdas (especially the 6) or Civics... they're all suffering from bad rust or engines got issues after 280k+ kms.
The old Audis are good cars but the new ones are realy shit. Ther are not reliable!!

Stock tires on the brz definitely held it back

I notice Tsuchiya clutch kicking the BRZ in the rev hang area (27:41) a lot. Actually I've seen him do it over the years in almost all current 86s. Wonder if that's his solution.
It is a bad habit.
Pretty sure he was clutch kicking to straighten the car for the next corner

Owning both a Brz and Audi S4 I can say I enjoy the driving experience of the BRZ by leaps and bounds in the warm dry. But S4 is unbeatable in the winter. So if you had to have only one for 4 seasons, Audi is the all rounder champion. Curious to know what time the WRX turns out. For the price it’s a good awd alternative to the Audi.
This is funny because there are plenty of used A4s and BMWs cheaper than new and even similarly used BRZ/86s. German cars value plummet like a ton of bricks. Here in NYC they are disposable after 30k miles because they become lessee (rental junk). Problem is reliability and running costs. My relatives had a bunch of recent German models that had enormous amount of issues, specifically electronic ones to be more persistent with oil leaks following as a close second. I actually purchased a used 2015 g37 for $15k for that very reason. They're reliable, RWD bias AWD and tons of power. Faster than that A4 in the video. It's incredible how far basic family performance sedans have come in terms of basic agility.
Admiral Ackbar great points in a general sense. I had G35 coupe too, that VQ was pure music to my ears . I was mostly supporting the outcome of the video which seemed to be comparing 2.0L engines . It was great to see the Audi do so well which aligned with the cars I own. I was thinking the “Ultimate driving machine” to be the best out of the 3 sedans and surprised to see the affordable sports car do so well.
@@xFlared The only reason German cars have problems is because you Americans don't service them like the manufacturer says. 30k miles? Issues? LOL! The car isn't even broken in fully at 100k miles. How come in Europe German cars do hundreds of thousands of miles with no issues and are bulletproof despite being driven much faster than in the US too? It's about owners, not cars.
@@derbigpr500 the people who buy German cars in America do it to look rich and those types of people don’t know how to maintain a car, that being said a German car still 9/10 times wont last as long as an American car (im talking sports/ luxury cars not cheap commuter cars)

Very surprised with the result. The prius tires on the BRZ really show their weakness here, and with grippier tires the suspension would also need to be tuned or swapped altogether.

its amazing what the brz could do keeping up with the audi on the touge. over here a brz is about 28K out the door and an audi is about 35-40k out the door.
It somewhat makes the Audi more value for money though when you look at what it can do overall compared to the BRZ, atleast for people that buys with brain only instead of brain and heart. The BRZ is sporty and fun even with low power, but it's a coupe and can't carry much nor not going to be that good in bad weather conditions. The Audi A4 Quattro is much heavier and less fun to drive, but it is fast, very stable, and is a sedan so it can fit more people or stuff so it's more daily friendly. Also works well in snow or rain, maybe even sand if you need it to. Softer ride feel but cornering is almost as solid.

86は安くてノーマルでも素性はいい。あの価格帯で考えたら今の基準のスポーツカーとしてはコスパは最高。
もう少し金があるやつ用にスーパーチャージャーやらターボを載せるようにエンジンルームにも隙間が空いている。
クラウンはもともと峠を攻めるための車じゃないからね。これだけ走れれば十分でしょ。

86は基礎こそ浅いけどパーツが豊富だから楽しめる車ってイメージ
アウディも乗った事あるけど カーブをアクセル踏んで行ってもギャップ跳ねも収まりよくて踏んでいくの安心感あるんだよね
ブレーキにしても日本車に比べると安心感持って踏んで行けるスピード落とす 落とさないギリギリができるっていうのか

i know it's fast but going through corners that fast is a surprise.
The reason Audi got fast is because modern adaptive suspensions gives the ability to retain the agility on their test track (nurburgring) while providing comfort. Audi chassis was always agile, it was the suspension that was the weak link in audis due to their customer base preferring comfort. Now this all changed. In fact most modern cars are very agile in handling department due to tech advancement. Look at teslas. We have family suvs faster than ferraris and lambos. (in straight at least)
