Elden Ring: "We'll put your skills to the test against horrific godlike monsities!"
Lego Star War: "We'll tickle your inner child"
Kirby: The Forgotten Land: "I'm a horrific godlike monstrosity that will tickle your inner child ".
So Kirby Is a Souls Like Is what your saying
This actually looks kinda enjoyable, but somehow Palpatine returned.
This Made me laugh
Like a Bantha
They found all his pieces and reassembled him.
Cloning, dark magic, secrets only the sith knew.
Mmk J.J
I love that line
Breaking the traditional formula looks like a total positive, now if only we got online multiplayer…
Sadly TT said they aren’t adding it
A real shame honestly. I’ve always been dying to play Lego Star Wars with a group of friends.
In my case I've got a bunch of international friends I couldn't possibly play with over couch co-op, so I'll be waiting for Lego to finally make an attempt at closed online play. As long as everyone's on the same planet it couldn't get too crazy.
Imagine I want it so bad!
I love the attention to detail in the different areas great review
Finally, a Lego game that isn't a traditional Lego game!
Im excited to hear that this game actually lived up to expectations and delivered what it set out to do
Offered terrible AI that are brain dead
Haven’t been excited for a Lego game in at least a decade
Nice review KC! I've not played a Lego game since the Lego Movie game - looks like theyve gotten quite a bit more complicated from the look of that UI!
Also, thank you for not saying 'Legos' like some people on the Escapist do *coughMARTYcough* 😁
@@jombilywobbily Yeah! Its actually probably my favourite lego game of them all, since (like the movie) EVERYTHING is made of lego bricks - even the explosions and particle effects! I much prefer that approach to the usual one where theyre realistic environments with lego bricks in them.
This game has been on my steam wishlist since January 2020. It's been 84 years ...
The Lego games (most at least) are a fantastic gateway game for kids that is also enjoyable for adults. - something that is very hard to find. Nice to see they are keeping this going in a good way.
I'm sure Steam remote play will remedy the online multiplayer missing, a little at least
Online multiplayer would have made this a 10/10 GOTY
Game would have definitely suffered to implement the feature across every platform it's the reason why all Lego games are typically finished products because they never have to work on network features
@@astrangehero I don't think the complete saga has online multiplayer? Or maybe it's just not in the Wii/PC versions (versions I played)
@@astrangehero you can play online on steam using remote play, but that doesn't really count as a build-in online feature . You'll be able to do the same with the new game
@@astrangehero oh I didn't know that since I missed out on PS3/Xbox360. Weird they they stopped bothering
Yeah...if elden ring wouldnt exist
LEGO + Star Wars + Video Games = AWESOME.
Hopefully the gameplay is as fun as Lego Batman 2, all the different suits made that one a lot of fun.
This is what, 15 game in the LEGO line, and not having online co-op still in 2022 is very disapointing.
It’s strange to me to watch a review for people who haven’t played Lego Star Wars before
Wait, wait wait, what? I wasn't exposed to any of the advertising before this, so I just assumed this would be an expanded Complete Saga. This is a whole different game???
I played all the LSW games when I was a kid, my adult ass just might end up picking this one up.
Yes, 100% a new game. AFAIK nothing was carried over from the previous Lego SW games.
I thought I was all set with Lego games, but this seems different enough from the older games and looks like a lot of fun. I'll probably be checking it out.
While not a dealbreaker for me, not having online co-op seems like a misstep. Hopefully that's something they add.
The games interface is a little buggy size that it’s pretty fun, just annoying I can’t clear certain notifications and that they pop back every time you login.
I just need more zoom when playing co-op
As someone who likes playing these games with the kids, the only thing I wish this review would have mentioned is whether this game is just a repackage of the original trilogy of trilogy games or did they actually remake them from the ground up.
It's a complete new game, nothing is repackaged.
@@theescapist Hah, I was just going to append my query as I had started watching the Slightly Something Else where Yahtzee and Marty answer this very question.
But thanks for the quick reply.
so far really disappointing. which is sad :/ good thing it's only me tho
Fun game but people keep saying you can choose resolution or framerate on series X but on mine there is no such option. So i am confused lol. Also there were no achievements when i played it last night in OZ at midnight and they only unlocked when i switched on the console this morning lol. So if you are in OZ and you were wondering what the hell is going on the achievements now work but as of this morning there was still no resolution/framerate option it was just 60 fps.
I was going to have a try at midnight, but when I saw that there were online connection issues, I decided to wait till the day. Glad I did though. Probably something they did in case people got early access or something.
Lets go Zero Punctuation
sounds like another fun lego game to me
This game is so good
Why tf are they trying to make the Lego games an RPG?! , Thanks for the heads up...
It's 100% optional. If you don't ever touch it, it won't really effect the game and will basically make it like a normal lego game, ie, pretty easy and straight forward, but enjoyable. The RPG elements are for completionists or those who want a slightly even easier time. Or who wanna run fast.
Can't wait!
Being literally unable to complete the game seems like more than a minor glitch. That’s worrying.
Seems it’s a super rare glitch though. Watched about 9 or 10 other reviews, and none of them even talked about anything like that. If it ends up being a major issue I am sure that it will be fixed with a day 1 patch
@@joshwakelin4587 just saw one where something similar happens in episode 2
1:05 They fly now???
I love that line
Yo ya me lo jue hasta me lo termine
The game has ADD has skips ahead way too fast. It’s so dull the only good content is the free roam, but then I lose the good that playing starwars brings and that’s playing the levels now it’s just run to point cutscene then run to point, it’s like they speed ran the movies
If you play as Rey, do all the puzzles open instantly and every bad guy die without having to do anything?
Rey is not a Mary sue
@@franchisefanatic4142 No, she's MUCH worse.
I gotta say, I really dont like the UI
i don't get it why is the game good you just walk to way points watch cut scenes and do a 2 minute level
"The Last Jedi was a mistake." Luke Skywalker and Mark Hamil
No online co-op? ...Yikes....
Buff Lego kylo ren is amazing
I didn't like the last few, so I think I'll skip this one
£59.99 pffffffff
That's an amazing price with how much content there is.
