That little dab of paint made ALL the difference eh? Well, well done! This is along the lines of what I sometimes do. So, I'm going to sound like an idiot for this one, but oh well lol. When I paint one, it always ends up rubbing off on me. Is it me not using the right stuff, or is it that after doing touch ups, I should not transform the figure much anymore? If I have to make it a statue, I won't paint it, because I'm always messing with my figures, and don't think I'd be happy not being able to transform them. The kinda cool thing is, I don't get too deep into repainting. I just hit highlights here and there, with silver, gun metal grey, and so on, NOT messing with large areas. What I end up with, is those parts looking sort of weathered, when some inevidably rubs off. It's not a bad look, but I'd like to be able to prevent that if I don't want it on a particular figure. I'm guessing that clear coat you put over the purple logo would help me?
Hi there👋 You need to spray the clear Matt coat on bare plastic to prep it so the paint will bite. After you are done painting you do another layer of Matt coat to protect the paint from scratches. I use mostly miniature paints like citadel because it’s slightly rubbery and are for the game pieces (which are often handle and moved around) so the flakes is less. I don’t unpin them and sometimes it’s partial painting and I avoid the joints as those areas flake the most, usually I dry brush the area so it sort of stays on. 😝 I play with painted toys all the time and I transform them, but to be honest once in a while it does flake abit but it’s not like frequently or a lot. Also depends on the amount of strength used I guess. Hopes this helps ✌️
I guess you wanna know if the paint will flake or scratch? 😉 To be honest it will slightly if you apply a lot of force but they are still transformable and you can still play with them. The conventional of doing custom is unpinning everything and then prime and airbrushing over every part separately like Gundam painting, that method will flake more if you try to transform them, as the joints and their internal are fully painted. Secondly if you use a soldering iron to remove the pins there is a possibility that the plastic might be damaged by the heat and your bot’s joint become loose. In this tutorial we are doing partial painting meaning only painting on the details, we leave the joints as they are so you can transform them as normal. Also I apply several layers of the clear Matt coat as a transparent protective layer so as to reduce the scratches. Hope that helps, the painting method is made in a way you can still enjoy both bot and alt mode ✌️
It’s entertaining for the parents and their kids watching 😅and also I am camera shy at times or could be a combination of acne and messy bed hair. It’s from killer body would y’all want to see their show room? Or their transformers products?
I found some on Ali express, but to be honest the white lining isn't too bad, if I had used an edgeless one it would be fully blended after the weathering and not so obvious
Yes I do paint gunpla , I won Bandai’s international cup in 2006 and 2009. But age is catching up so I get tired of assembling the gunpla… and the overtime from my day job.. really tired of cutting the sprues
@@izakku-ben Thats awesome dude. i feel the same about building them, i have a few boxes that i have laying around that i cant be bothered to build lol
Yep. I (almost) never do that because i'm LAZY 😅 But you can have a great result without taking a figure apart. You Just have to be steady and precise.

BTW, can I just say, I'm getting really sick and tired of Megs getting the shaft! Can my guy just not merit a figure without caverns in his damn forearms? He's the emporer of distruction! Give him arm hole covers! At least this one seems to have wrist rotation. I guess yay for that. Can you see through his arm smh...
Compared to the past megatron this is actually really, only thing the alt modes looks kinda forced. But overall the bot mode is really nice. Hole covers would be nice
I do really like both before and after
Thankyou 🫶
I finally got him today. My local collector's shop held onto it for me so nobody else could get it first.
That’s great news! Enjoy!
I have been waiting for this custom for a while. It looks amazing!

looks awesome. I would have added more red myself, though.
That would be nice 👌
I’ve been doing my own customs with mps doing a Bizzro Autobot team. Great job and great vids

Man I love these videos🔥!
Glad you like them!
Awesome Job!👏✨
Thank you! 😄
I wonder how the movie Decepticon logo would look on him since it’s a lot more ominous.
🤗👍
Should have gone with borderless logo sticker
That’s true but can’t find here
I mean I dig the painting and all but what happens when you transform or try to pose em?

Ohhh yes
Thankyou 🙏🙏
Amazing work as always!
Could you do SS62 Satellite Soundwave? The figure could really use it.
Oooh that is rare here
Im getting megs this Friday and I’m so hyped oh btw what kind of paints did u use
Amazing job but why do you where the bumblebee mask is it just cause

Sure and happy new years and are you still working on night bird custom
Yes… it’s so much work for one custom.. I have already tons of footage but the legs are no where near done
If they added thia design it will be awesome
Yes indeed
Are there other sources to get deception transfer stickers from?

Really bring it to life and feel alot more complete. Do you also paint Gunpla?
Yes I do paint gunpla , I won Bandai’s international cup in 2006 and 2009. But age is catching up so I get tired of assembling the gunpla… and the overtime from my day job.. really tired of cutting the sprues

They take up a lot of space in my home..
Hey which gun metal marker did you use?
Dspaea markers
Hey what the black paint called that you used on the face?
Tamiya Panel line Accent color , it’s actually pre mix enamel for staining the details
Personally if it was me I wouldn’t have done a dark gunmetal or black on the shins and crotch
🤘🤘
I thought to give a toy a new paint job you had to take it apart then paint it separately
That’s just what you do if you don’t want to mess up badly
Yep. I (almost) never do that because i'm LAZY 😅

Not really I don’t take them apart , even if I do it’s just like popping the arms or legs out of their ball joints simple stuff
@@izakku-ben don’t do that with mainline wheeljack biggest mistake of my life
Yeah man .. It’s too much work and the output is the same.. or close

Hey next year why not do a transformers rise of the beast arcce custom
I’m first comment
Which one?

Oh sorry I didn’t see the message
Ah the core class Arcee ? That's a tough nut to crack
But you are able to custom other things like some other tiny ones
