Treating a mangled hand by sleep alone is not treating that hand at all. she s acting like if they were on an island , not in a school seconds away from the headmisstress and a healer. She didn t even try to clean that hand. Hell she woke up the guy from unconsciousness which put him into shock and then used a potion to make him sleep again. Not rational at all.
