I get that to someone without an eating disorder the can’t stop eating cookie thing must seem absurd but it’s complex for someone with an ED so if that’s you don’t feel like you should be able to defeat it by ‘having authority’ over the food. Freedom is absolutely possible but for me I needed the help of experienced ED recovery coaches who have been through it themselves :)x

my brother has been abused and he abused me as a kid. recently he made me and i tried to tell everyone and they turned on me and so i chose to believe his sorry bc he seemed very sorry and he blamed drugs but still hasn't stopped drugs so im going to get help for it. i feel alone and i feel guilty for wanting to do something about it but i thought if i didn't that maybe he would get worse but i also dont want him to suffer and i feel so disconnected from God i miss Him dearly i don't know how to feel Him again all I'm doing is crying when i know better than this
I'll pray for you 💗 God is doing this for a reason, it's going to be okay. You deserve better than people who would treat you badly for what you went through and I'm sorry you had to go through that
I know what you mean about feeling disconnected from him, just remember. He's your father and he loves you, so just talk to him like you would a parent. It's the way I was able to reach out again. I wish you the best of luck and I'm rooting for you 💗
