What a brilliant idea for your chicken coop roof....makes life a lot easier for you Rols. Isn't it wonderful that you have all of that wood in your barn to use for your garden frames and anything else they have use for! Great video and thank you ❤
Hi Suzie & Rols...Happy Monday!! It's so nice you're making such an effort to construct the chicken coop in a way that will serve you & your future chickens, Rols! So well thought out! We also took great pains to build a functional, yet well built & even attractive, coop! It made it easier to clean & maintain! I'm all for deconstructing walls, Suzie! Certainly love watching the process & repurposing of the stones. It's wonderful to hear Benji is doing well & moving on with life!! Blessings to you both & all the fur babies! See you next time! 🇺🇸
Was thinking the same just before you said about view from house - will make it so much better and lighter in that area. Love the chicken house roof refurb, lol thought exactly hmm bit short then came your explanation - great work
Great idea Rol's for the chicken coop roof, can't wait to see the progress on the wall it will certainly open up the garden take care and see you both next time 💕🌼🤗
You’re making great progress on the roof! I hope you get that wall down before winter. It looks like a lot of work deconstructing and hauling the stones elsewhere. Hopefully you will have what we call ‘Indian summer’ here in the states where you get a period of lovely late summer weather. The bird song in the background was very melodic today! ❤
Just a thought. Something from a landscape gardener. He said not to put rocks around a tree trunk. He says trees need to breathe and need room to just exist.
Roof looking food Rols good idea to paint it white for the underneath as like you say it will make it lighter. Cannot wait to see the wall down that will open your garden up even more. Loved watching. Thankyou for sharing. Take care Suzie and Rols😘
Hi Jackie, we have to dig 2 to 3 feet of soil from the outside wall before we can prep and paint the back walls of the kitchen. Then we have to take up and replace the floor which we can't do until we have decommissioned the boiler which we can't do until we install water ballons around the place which has to be done at the same time as the re-plumbing of the whole place. The short answer is we don't know when.
@@WolfgangZenker-e5s Hello Wolfgang, thank you. We assume it extended all the way to the boundary and was demolished and used to make the existing building. Some more research to do at the historical records dept. Have a good week, Suzie and Rols xx
Brilliant Rols that roof’s going to be super strong and waterproof for the chickens. Love how you both work as a team ❤
Good progress all around. ♥️
Great idea on the chicken house roof, and a perfect way to make it brighter as well. 🙂

Love watching your progress on your home.
Roof looks good ❤
Thank you ❤️
Enjoy your videos so much. I know you are very busy trying to get things completed before winter. Would love to see more videos. Take Care
Hi Kaytie , thank you. We are getting back to 2 videos a week, hopefully this week. See you next time ❤️
I thought you were only using those panels darn
I despise those Terra cotta tiles more trouble than their worth
Looks good! But the tree on the roof will continue to be a huge problem...trees too close much less touching the roof. Oh my! :)

Thanks Helen ❤️
is there flashing (zinc layer) or a rain gutter

Are you going to lime wash the inside of the Chicken Coop?

When are you going to paint your kitchen and finish it?

@@chateaucitadelleducavalier oh dear, sorry to hear that.
Just curious, do you know what the purpose of this wall was originally? Part of a building or an internal division in the courtyard?
