I’ve been playing fey a lot. And found lots of success with this build. Azure core (second tier only at the beginning), megacosm, tainted scepter, astral catalyst, caustica, and oblivion crown.
I lvl untamed growth to 3 first, after unlocking the 3 primary abilities. Then I prioritize maxing Ult, harvest nettle, bramble patch, all in that order. Untamed growth should always be maxed last after putting 3 points into the skill. Nobody stay in the AoE long enough unless you have amazing set up. Poking with the bramble patch thorns is easier and it is also more likely to hit multiple people.
In the early game, I avoid fighting people almost entirely, unless I know my jg is pressuring hard and is looking to gank mid. Focus on Stacking alchemical rod for extra mana and power is a priority. Untamed growth at lvl 3 plus bramble patch helps clear waves really quick. I can back as often as I need to without losing much farm and have spare to hp/mana to rotate if needed.
The astral catalyst makes sure that my ult is almost always up and I’m always a threat to the enemy team if they decide to play aggressively, or counter attack. Fey’s bramble patch is such a huge straight line AoE. Putting it in a middle of a team fights pretty much guarantee every melee enemies walk into it. I stay in the back line and just keep on throwing abilities to proc item effects. My goal is only to punish the enemy team for trying to play aggressive. Most of the times, the front lines have no way to avoid the fly trap, and if assassins are diving, I just wait til their movement abilities are used then ult. Picking off people one by one and ult just come back up whenever fights break out.
With these strategies, Fey is a force to be reckoned with. So imo she’s really strong. But hey, if folks keep on saying she’s weak, she may get another decent buff, I’m not complaining when that happens.
