      Its one of my favourites too!
      Its a little challenging, honestly, since its so fast paced. But you can try slowing down the video and seeing what keys I'm hitting!

    There is something special about a crowd chanting the lethal industry riff. I’m long gone of my party days, but I’d imagine it doesn’t get played anymore on big events. At least in Buenos Aires people always went mental
    Goosebumps everytime

      Imagine of some DJ drops it in a set in today's world;
      The crowd will either think its boring, or they'll go mental because they really don't make it like that any more!

    • @railpressureflip
      @railpressureflip  4 года назад

      Thank you brother! Off the top of my head, I probably used Vengeance kicks and a bass sound in spire! They also sound better because the sound is much more nicely mastered using modern techniques! :)

    May I ask why are the keys transposed? Is it because of copyright issues? If I understand correctly you are playing the same melodies/riffs as in originals, however in a slightly different key, right?

    • @railpressureflip
      @railpressureflip  2 года назад +1

      Its because I can’t play from other keys hahaha
      I was never trained properly and learned it all on my own, and growing up I was spoiled with the transpose key feature from my first casio keyboard itself, and that led me down this path of “cheating” and not learning songs from their original keys. I kinda CAN play them from their original root notes now, much better than before, but definitely not confident enough to for a performance.
      Something I really need to work on asap, but again I was thinking maybe this lack of skill could be used positively in some way haha

    • @railpressureflip
      @railpressureflip  2 года назад +1

      Copyright issue is a whole different world in itself. I haven’t tested out if transposition would let me circumvent copyright or not. But pitching down / up (which means natively the tempo will change also) will - for now - circumvent copyright. Thats why so many famous songs have been pitched down / up and being used in insta reels / tiktok!

    • @xaero212
      @xaero212 2 года назад +1

      @@railpressureflip by 'original root notes' you mean that for each track the musical scale/key are different and therefore you would need to switch it to different one when playing on Akai MPC, correct? I have never played on any keyboard/piano however I am fascinated by it. If I would like to get into it, how would you recommend to start? Maybe buying Akai MPC Mini and going through some tutorials?

    • @railpressureflip
      @railpressureflip  2 года назад +1

      Yes, somewhat correct! So if a track's original root note is Cm, I will transpose my keyboard to 3+ so I can still play from Am physically, but generate the original root note sound of Cm. Again, its only because I'm not trained and I can kinda only play from the Am keys set. Its not because of the Akai MPC either, that keyboard is only a midi controller, which means it doesn't have sound generation capability built into it, but only produces data at the press of a key, or a pad, or at the twist of a knob on the keyboard. It sends the data to the PC its connected to and makes the PC generate the sound (Via a Digital Audio Workstation software). As opposed to something that's called a "home keyboard", or a "workstation keyboard", or an actual synth. All three of those have the capability to produce sound of its own. But are limited to what they're programmed for. Whereas with a Midi and PC, you can tweak and generate sounds to your PC's and a VST's limitation. There's a lot more to it, and a few others have asked about it too. So maybe I'll make a video on how to get started with making music electronic (or any other kind of) music with a midi and a keyboard!
