That’s right they don’t understand that in the flesh we have no power but that’s why Christ came to give us the Spirit so now we can war against the flesh and have complete victory through him, they believe they have no victory therefore are already defeated held captive by Satan to do his will.

Yes, God dwells inside the Believer as well as in heaven, which are both his temples. "He is the God who made the world and everything in it. Since he is Lord of heaven and earth, he doesn’t live in man-made temples, (ACTS 17:24)". "However, the Most High does not live in houses made by human hands. As the prophet says:Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build for me? says the Lord. Or where will my resting place be? (ACTS 7:48-49)".

Allow me to share My personal experience.
The Head Pastor monopolizes.. He calls the shots, gets to decide on almost all matters, ministry etc., even lives of people they consult him. He preaches and the people are merely spectators, he leads the singing at the end.
It's not like the people want to be Spoon fed.
It's just that he monopolized everything so we didn't have a chance to teach or share a word or sing.
So yes, I told him he is like a King in a kingdom. And we were the subservients. We always had to consult him or ask him permission in Bible studies etc. He makes the decisions who joins who.

Nicodemus, Paul and those who attended the council in Acts were Pharisees. Being a Pharisee was a good thing, but being a corrupt Pharisee was not a good thing.

Just because it was considered to be a good thing, doesn’t actually make it a good thing.
For example, today it’s considered good to be a successful pastor like John Piper. However, I would count all of us rubbish for knowing Christ! All of their success means absolutely nothing. They don’t know Christ!

I would say to look at their lives, Jesus said that by their fruits we would know them, no one can bear good fruits if their hearts is full of wickedness, nor bad fruits if their heart is good "For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him."

    • @abideintheWord
      @abideintheWord  5 месяцев назад +2

Yes of course. I suppose you could say what “fruit” then should we be looking for? Outright sin? Yes of course. But some pastors don’t openly flaunt their sin and are maybe conceal it a bit more than others. Then you have even some who tend to preach some holiness but still are all about the building. You see, covetousness may not always be so easy to spot. But one way you can ALWAYS spot it is if they take a salary from the church, and if they are taking money from Christians to purchase a building. You can guarantee this man is not serving God, he is serving the things of this world.

@@Caioknight bad fruit is the sins listed in Galatians 5 among others yes. That’s how you know you are walking in the flesh. Erecting a building and charging money for it can show several works of the flesh - covetousness, divisions (specifically if it a building for a denomination), and the church system can often cause envy and jealousies and completion for unbiblical positions like the “head pastor” spot or worship pastor or pastor of fill in the blank.

Adam regarding the Mosaic laws Actually ---
We let Jesus to live in us. We let the Holy Spirit to empower us to live a holy and sinless live for God. Always to Love. Out of Love
In so doing, in Loving, we avoid sins.
Meaning, in Loving, we do follow the moral laws of the Mosaic Law. Because these never changed. They are the moral laws of God. It is still evil to have other gods before Him. To commit adultery. To lie. To covet. To murder in our hearts...

No, we are not under the Mosiac law - ANY part of it. Nowhere in Scripture does it define “moral laws”. This is an invention of man. What part of “dead to the law” do you not get? Romans 7 couldn’t possibly be anymore clear. Dead to the law means just that - dead to the law. Even Romans 7 says this includes yes the 10 commandments. Look it up!

The building is simply a place to gather for the body. The tithes are there to pay the bills. Although I will say I agree with you that Christians are the most important things though faithful Christians are important, carnal Christian add problems and are like warm Christians. They are not being faithful. I was like warm and you lose value and you become like homeless because you cannot serve the world and God at the same time.

Hey buddy. I noticed you teach that the Bible teaches that we can completely cease all sin. I very much agree with this too. I have actually highlighted every single verse in the NT which conveys that idea and the highlights are color coded to show the different levels of clarity. There is a LOT of scripture which teaches this idea at some level of clarity and there's a lot of verses that completely directly or nearly completely directly that teaches it too.
Would you want a copy of this eBible with these highlights?

Also, I've written a document that explains the the qualities of each level of clarity. For example, the most clear verses directly mention that we can completely stop sinning forever. The second most clear only mention we can completely stop sinning but don't mention an endless duration. I'd be interested to see what improvements to the categorization you come up with.
