Damon, your comment is the first relevant statement on AI since GTP chat was on the scene. Instead of scratching the surface with technicism, you bring it to the point. AI will not liberate us from the pain nor steal the joy of being human and alive.
The man, the legend! Hearing your videos while making and eating breakfast is one of my favourite human experiences that an AI could never fully understand. You really help me understand writing Mr. DiMarco
I'm so glad you liked it @bakhshishsingh2711. AI, I believe, will certainly defray many current efforts in writing. But these will only be low-level tasks. Good writing is always a communication of heartfelt human values and insights, for which there is currently no algorithm. Nor will there be in any near future. My best to you and yours. Thanks for watching and commenting!
You've touched on the human essence that AI will never be able to match in any creative field. I can see how it could write RFPs, instruction manuals, or anything that's entirely mechanical in nature. But storytelling..... no. I pasted your text asking for a pilot script into Bard. All I got was a lame act by act outline that seemed to call on "Independence Day" and Sarah Connors. Creative acts will remain in the non-AI sphere until they become far more advanced or humans become far more oblivious to life.
@ScooterintheSticks: well put, and agreed. Especially the part you wrote about how "creative acts will remain in the non-AI sphere until they become far more advanced or humans become far more oblivious to life." I wonder ... which do you think will come first?
@@ScooterintheSticks I hope you're wrong, too. But just as sadly, I fear you're correct. Which is one more reason to value our community as much as we do.
@@TheWriteStuffPro-DamonDiMarco Valuing communities seems to have fallen out of fashion. Often it seems people look out for themselves and care little about anyone else. And those tendencies sweep across everything from driving on the road to politics. Other than that though, everything is fine!😝

@kwortmannyt So well put. I wish I had said that. You're dead on, I think. Dead on.
