7:25 Great video! The diesel heater is supposed to be better than propane easy to refill and lasts longer. You might need to beef up rear suspension with air bags. You made a very excellent choice. Keep on trucking 😊

Love your detailed videos sir! I subscribed! I had a couple of campers and my advice to everyone....go weigh the truck and then the camper on a CAT scale! You will be amazed by the difference in what they say it weighs and what it really weighs! Even my pop up slide in weighed 800 pounds more than they said it did on sticker!

Im definitely going to weigh it. 800 lbs over is crazy. Thanks for the follow.

Hey nice review, these campers are a real contender, I'm looking for price, simple design, and superior construction. No wood. Thank you sir.

Some nice changes, but I think I like the Dickinson heater better. No need to carry separate fuel and the ambiance.

I like these campers but no ac is a non starter for me as I am a fulltimer in Capri truck camper right now on the east coast.I would go for the Kenai since I have a 3/4 ton but will not even look until they offer ac

Thanks for the thorough walkthrough. I am looking at getting the Olympic for our Tundra Crew Max. I know this is pushing the upper limits on the payload and I was curious to know how well it handled? Have you made any suspension upgrades?

There’s so many reasons not to get the front windows. Rocks and bugs come to mind first. They look awesome and would provide more air flow, but would be a hassle to sleep next to as any time you bump the shade you run the risk of damaging it.

I hate windows in my truck camper by the bed. Two and a fantastic fan are enough in the spring and fall. Having two more windows in the summer makes no difference if its still 80 degrees at night with 90% humidity

Can you tell me who manufactures the diesel heater used in your Scout? I do see they use a Zarges case for the components.

Nice camper tour. I wonder if they have a Scout to fit a Toyota Tacoma 6' bed.

They have the “Yoho” models for mid sized trucks and the “Kenai” models for 3/4 ton and up.

    Any issues yet?
Has it been thru any hard rain and stayed dry?

Does the Tundra do well with that camper? I am looking around for one that would be ok for a Tundra type truck, and not ones for f 350 or 3500's Not that I dont like or want one of those, I do, but my current Truck is a 2016 Tundra with same type of payload numbers as yours.

unfortunately I think he is maxed out on payload once the bodies and gear go in.

Good video! I’m curious how well the thermostat works since it’s right by both heat vents?

Me too. I went camping this weekend at 32°. The issue is the open storage areas are poorly insulated so areas near the floor was 35° and the bunk was near 80°. The thermostat was set at about 70°. O have to make some adjustments.

Nice one but if it rains you are in trouble with these units

We have the previous year model. Nice overview of the differences. We’ve enjoyed the Dickinson heater, but the diesel setup looks nice! The things I’m most jealous of are the windows up top and the clear back window.

Hey Derrick, thanks for the shout out! This is a great video, well done! I watched the whole thing and I noticed one thing that I corrected on my own channel here : ruclips.net/video/ZAoa0jAU91I/видео.html at 0:46 seconds approx.
The panel sensor is behind the screen inside the display. The external sensor is the sensor located "above" the display. BOTH will work BUT you temperature might be a few degrees off using the panel sensor vs the external sensor. In short, instead of using the "panel sensor (inside the display) " the "external sensor (on the wall) " is the correct one. Thanks again!
