That's actually another hint of her symptoms. If Georgiou were up to her usual standard, her threat would have been more accurately targeted. She should know by now that Culber doesn't have any kids for example, making that threat an empty one.
Theory: the reason she's "sick" is because in the 3rd millenium, the prime universe has drifted far enough away from the mirror universe that her molecules are coming apart. Thus the only way to save her is to send her back in time when shes close enough to the mirror universe that she wont fall apart. Which also just happens to solve the problem of her now being 1000 years into the wrong timezone for the Section 31 show.
This is sort of a reverse version of entropic cascade failure, seen in Stargate SG-1, where a doppelganger from a parallel universe will experience molecular breakdown and die if they coexist with a living counterpart.
In Perry Rhodan universe this phenomenon simply called is strangeness. Nevis-Latan used it for temporal GPS 50.000 years ago on planet Lemuria (i.e. Vario) Mid Rim of M 31 Andromeda Galaxy
A lot of stuff for the Memorable Quotes on Memory Alpha in that Episode: "Great. You can determine if the root is physiological, psychological, temporal or interdimensional on your own." Funny enough, each of them would apply. "What was I just doing? Where did I burry that last body?" - yes, that would be something on the mind of a forgetfull Terran. "Advancement is good" Indeed. it is nice for her finally to shut up for once. Her panicked talking was getting a tad annoying and predictable there^^ "I was having a beautyfull dream, about how your head would look on my wall." And the panicked talking is back.
The actress of this georgiou lady was once a gymnast, you can tell by the way she brought her legs up on the table... (theory, some one prove me wrong)
Hahaha 1000 years into the future and they're still using Welch Allyn exam lights. I work on medical equipment for a living, I notice weird shit like that.
In one episode, this flashback has her scream "San!" or so closed-captioning would have you believe. Personally, I think she was scream was "Xon!" most likely a lover/chief bodyguard.
In these clips, she's really desperately trying to be threatening, mean, dangerous. But she comes off as just a fussy old person resisting the very and only things that can save her. Claws out, only her nails have been clipped.
Culber should be completely out of his element with the medical tech of the era and should be spending years retraining himself. His knowledge is medieval, relatively speaking.
@@companymen42 Chances are that they got rid of the scalpel and replaced it with a new technology. Look at ST 4, when they went back in time to the 1980s. When Chekov had a critical head injury, surgeons at the time wanted to cut into his skull. Bones used a non-invasive device that easily repaired the damage. That is the type of situation we are looking at. The 20th century doctors would need to throw out most of their trsining to do what McCoy could.
@@benjackson8731 When the Bridge Crew was training the new Interface, Culbert was training with the new scanners. And doing the usual "lifelong learning" that is part of every Doctors job. And Pollard was training with this particular scanner wich is part of her specialty. In Medicine, generally stuff only becomes safer and easier over time. They know how to manually do a lot of things that they propably no longer teach in Starfleet Medical training.
@@gedias1 - That's kind of the point here. Though the writers probably didn't get it at the time, those scenes in ST:IV actually made Bone look like a *bad* doctor, because all he really does is hand out magic gimmicks the regrow kidneys and repair cerebral hemorrhages while he just stands around. No wonder he spent so much of him time in sick bay just sitting around drinking! By the 32nd century, it's amazing that they even still have doctors at all! No wonder Reno, an engineer, was able to take care of her crewmates!
No that's part of her defense mechanism slowly realizing she's seriously sick. A distraction for Georgiou for her self, it has no real point to others.
I understand totally. At first it was annoying to me too. But then I realized it would probably take her a long time to change since she lived as a merciless killer most of her life. But I do hope she loses her snarkiness at SOME point...or has some type of vulnerability at some point. It does get tiring though I get why they did it.
The great Emperor Georgiou! She was truly a highlight of the show!!
Georgiou is like Star Trek's tiger mom.
I love her ♥️
"if I had time, I'd poison your children."
"If I had time, I'd have children."
"Advancement is good."
Dialogue in this episode was enjoyable.

I laughed out loud. Great exchange.
For such previously underused character, Hugh has been awesome this season.

So, someone she loved in her universe, a loyal soldier maybe, was murdered, and her displaced mind keeps flashing back to it.
Can you imagine what the Doctor or McCoy could do with those medical facilities? Bashir...ehhhh
McCoy would have complained about how Do they even need Doctors anymore, Bashir would have solved Death itself.
I’d like to see EMH Doctor deal with her. He has even less fucks to give than Hugh.
Bashir could offer even more routine sex changes and reversals.
Imagine giving this to Phlox

She's sick and she won't take her med's that sounds like a lot of people to me , sick but don't want to know.
And the symptoms he lists for her sound a lot like dementia.
Do you think her repressed memories could have been dampen by going into a different universe? Since her quantum signature wouldn't have matched?
