Captain: "Daniels, can you go back in time and stop the Burn?" Daniels: "No." Captain: "Why not?" Daniels: "Because the writers didn't know what my character was until the last episode." Captain: "You know, you can still send us back now. We know the cause of it and can stop it from happening." Daniels: "Nah. Temporal Prime Directive." Captain: "Captain Kirk went back in time to save the whales. Surely, we can go back to save billions of lives and save civilizations from collapsing on themselves. I'm sure everyone would agree since it affected everyone equally." Daniels: "....We threw out the technology......ummm.....for budgetary reasons." Captain: "I'm sure that one of the races would still have the technology. Surely, we can....." Daniels: "Just leave. This is the last episode, and no one cares."
They just needed to come up with some sort of in-universe scapegoat everyone in the plot needed to get rid of. e.g. The burn somehow ended up getting rid of all the annoying time travelers so it's a good thing!
Would that be Romulans mucking with the dating of our Eugenics Wars, or someone from the Terran Confederation timeline trying to preserve their own existence?
Discovery being an anomaly from the Temporal Cold War that Daniels corrects would have been a cool storyline, if the rest of the series was.. watchable. Also, why is Daniels' tech so much better on ST: Enterprise than in Discovery?
The sad irony is that the people who would respond to memberberries like that are long gone. The only ones left are people who think shoot-em-up crap like Star Trek Fleet Command is high art.
I feel like the writer that skimmed the material, legit thought crewman Daniels and the LT, were the same. How could Silik hear anything! She was whispering all the time, and had his enhanced abilities removed. Good job Burnham!
Where's the second clip from? I recognise the Daniels talking with Archer in clip 3 but not the one talking to Riker or Picard. Are they the same man or different? Is Daniels also a code name?
Maybe whoever Daniels worked for had tech to switch bodies as well XD. One of the unfortunate things about them banning time travel, although that’s pretty understandable, is that they would likely have had to destroy their timeships, which is one of my most favorite parts of the series. I’d imagine Section 31 (if they’re still around) might have kept some or something.
I wonder what they were actually going to have the suit man be. With the show being canceled suddenly they had to reveal the mystery and Daniels is the only option that made any sense at all and had a connection to anything. But this only further raises the ridiculousness about the loss of time travel technology because it shows that there are still people alive that know how to make it.
I had thought that Daniels was from the Defiant and was rescued (First Contact). He looks at Worf because Worf was his commanding officer on the Defiant.
What about Ransom and the U.S.S Relativity and all their temporal missions for Starfleet? Also, Malcolm McDowell played H.G. Wells in _Time After Time_ which was a movie easily comparable to both _Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home_ and _Back to the Future III_ but that would probably just be for funsies at this point.
it still doesn't really make sense cause Daniels was not originally from the 22nd century. it makes more sense that he was the crewman we saw in the TNG movies who got recruited by Temporal agents after he successfully defended the Enterprise from the time traveling Borg drones
@@MajorGrin I get where youre coming from, but its pretty clear Daniels was pretty far from the future originally, enough to mix the genepool quite a bit, so if anything the Enterprise E was probably just an assignment as a temporal agent.
What a shocker - Discovery has a character that is yet again tied into key moments in Trek history 😂 I am actually a little sad that STD has been cured and won't be infecting Trek anymore - the vids you did were great, they are the only way you can actually survive watching this show.
WHAT THE F**K!!!! They actually use temporal wars to justify the existence of STD and Michael Burnham? It can work but it has to be written really good without insulting the original canon....but they went there and put STD in nearly all the important part of past series.... which is sign of very lazy out of touch writing.

"I don't know."
Jack?
@scockery Simpsons reference. Well played. 😂
Probably Timmy
@@NitpickingNerd Timot Danlen. Nice reference 😆
It's Agent...my parents were hippies.
The Stargate clips snuck in were absolutely hilarious, thank you
and Monk at the end
Got to admit putting burnham in the forcefield as “unknown guy” was hilarious . Perfect pose forbit as wel
I think he was known in fan circles as Future Guy. It even ended up in the Memory Alpha database.
@@fishjones4618 I couldn’t remember his name u get who I was talking about
Finally, the Picard is back to bring order to the universe
Long live the Picard!!!
The beach scene edit is just brilliant, I didn't realize that Dr.Culburt or whatever his name is was on the monk episode!
Ow!
Your knowledge, connections and library use is astounding as always.
Like so many, I too wish for a time correction.
Captain: "Daniels, can you go back in time and stop the Burn?"

Or he would rather protect the integrity of the timeline...
GG
Or he is stuck in the 32nd century due to that temporal instability if he does go back in time excuse??……or lazy writing and logic
All time travel technology was banned by this time. Going back in time would start temporal cold war all over again.
They just needed to come up with some sort of in-universe scapegoat everyone in the plot needed to get rid of.
e.g. The burn somehow ended up getting rid of all the annoying time travelers so it's a good thing!
Never thought about that tng one before
Gawd I love the enterprise theme song
*You have successfully fixed Star Trek: Picard and Star Trek: Discovery....I award you one Middle-Aged Man Seal of Approval!!*
The faction from 2024 is going to all other time periods, trying to destroy everything, and rewrite history!
Would that be Romulans mucking with the dating of our Eugenics Wars, or someone from the Terran Confederation timeline trying to preserve their own existence?
There _must_ be some temporal weirdness going on if we're getting a good old-fashioned Grin mashup after all these years!
I mean, they pretend to like Star Trek Enterprise and still the fans hate them.
Come on! Burnham said she was sorry.
Enterprise was an obscenity - and then ironically it is the only thing even worse nuTrek considered canon.
I need to give Enterprise another watching.
The USS enterprise E destroying Discovery perfect lol 🤣🤣

This is fantastic. First the image in a timestream and then at 2:20 had me breaking out in laugher. Well done.
What got me was that he was wearing GLASSES.... When they had Retnax V....."They make me look smart..." Oahkay.....
Ready quantum torpedoes. Lock onto Discovery and *fire!*
Awfully bold for a woman named Michael to accuse somebody else's name of being fake.
Every Major Grin mashup is infinitely better than STD
Discovery being an anomaly from the Temporal Cold War that Daniels corrects would have been a cool storyline, if the rest of the series was.. watchable. Also, why is Daniels' tech so much better on ST: Enterprise than in Discovery?
Because Discovery is terrible and should be discarded like everything else from 2017 onwards (some might even say 2009 onwards, or even 2001 😆).
@@richardched6085 2009 onwards
Because it's a series and the effects improve over time. Apart from that, Discovery had more money at its disposal.
@@Connermacloud the question was why effects from 2002 were better than effects from 2024. Your answer makes no sense lol.
Enterprise going back in time to destroy discovery is a comforting head canon. Thank you.
I love how they know their show is disaster so trhey keep aiming to our sentiment to old charasters .They did same shit in picard .

I loved the Monk reference!
as a friend said a few weeks ago, "Discovery isn't for anybody."
It is not for Star Trek 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Nobody wants an STD!! LOL
Man, Agent Daniels served on 2 Enterprises. That weren’t sequential. Lucky man.
Doing Enterprise dirty at any chance they get...
This is your best work yet, sir !
I feel like the writer that skimmed the material, legit thought crewman Daniels and the LT, were the same. How could Silik hear anything! She was whispering all the time, and had his enhanced abilities removed. Good job Burnham!
So are Daniels like time james bond agents.
They ripped that scene with the guy in the bowler hat straight from Hitchhikers guide where they first met slartybartfast.
I love the Peter Bogdonovich guy
Thank you for resting the time line! Lol awesome mash up.😅
What is the Editing in this Video?!?!? …I love it
Some context for those who haven't seen it and absolutely never will?
The best thing it is over 😂
Oh I was hoping you would get the Enterprise E to do that 😂
5:24 When I see a cockroach in the house.
Discovery even ruined Daniels. What a shame.
Nice HD work on the ST:E scenes. Sharp!
Is the burn related to the flux in dr who? If so the universe needs some antacid stat.
Where's the second clip from? I recognise the Daniels talking with Archer in clip 3 but not the one talking to Riker or Picard. Are they the same man or different? Is Daniels also a code name?
Is everyone allergic to Retinax in the future? WTF is he wearing glasses?
The same reason why my insurance will cover LASIK 100% and I won't get it.
OK time traveler did Captain Benjamin Sisko ever return from the Celestial Temple?

What's season 8 of Stargate doing in there 😂
This crazy video almost had me going….
Was that a Black Donnellys clip right at the end?

I was actually disappointed Daniels wasn’t in Nemesis
he should have been promoted to first officer in the end after Riker left the ship. instead of Major Hayes
Are those Star Gate Jaffe in 2:43? 😅
Discovery....it's Seinfeld but in space
Is Daniels a time lord?
Seriously? This is Daniels and he didnt use time travel to fix the Burn after finding out what caused it?
4:10 a CSI crossover?
Omg you had Dr. Culber with Generation's bad scientist guy then showed Deanna
Ah, the good ending
Tee Hee Brutus 🙂
Oh Grin, I laughed so hard😂
The pure class and tension in that single scene from First Contact.. "fight hand to hand if you have to"
That movie. So good.

Fantastic!
So Agent is imperator who’s rule over Federation of planets.
4:40 and beyond is the best Star Trek out together in DECADES!!!( I Liked ST:P, S3 obviously)
I’m not sure if it’s the same daniels.
So, he's Daniel...but he couldn't stop the burn from happening?
Time travel was outlawed

Daniels said in the Enterprise series that the Temporal Cold War(s) ENDED because of Archer. Therefore all of this is BS claptrap retcon nonsense.

He doesn't even remotely resemble Daniels in height, body build, face or voice. A weak ass attempt for discovery to tie into a good Trek series
