- Yay! We survived year one as new parents to the coolest baby in town! It was a roller coaster ride of learning new things and balancing LIFE! But after 2017... we plan on going into 2018 with a whole new mindset. We like to see it as a fresh start! From moving (to Maui) cutting back on spending (budgeting) and really being more mindful with food (healthier meals and snacks overall. PS. KIND Protein made from real food is our jam right now! Finally...a protein bar that actually tastes good! Here is episode 1 to a whole new year!

I’m not sure how I feel about this new content style. I enjoyed to rawness of the old vlogs. Some of that is scattered throughout this vlog, but I just hope they all don’t start to sound scripted. I liked how real you were.

This video was really cute but it felt kind of fake.. I don't mean to be rude but I loved the raw footage of before it seemed so much more fun! Especially the fun intro song and Carlos with his 'BOOM' and all the messing around, disagreements, fun stuff etc. I guess change is always good but it feels SO scripted. I mean you can have a budget, spend family time, worship the Lord AND HAVE FUN TOO!! Honestly it's too bad these were my favorite. But hope all goes well with this new transition for you guys!
Hi PeneVegas :) I have a suggestion, or idea. I assume you guys are busy with work, ocean or maybe you guys are going to launch something big and amazing on this channel, but maybe make an update vlog, like a 5 minute video on what's been happening the last 3 weeks? It's okay if you don't. Because I have no idea why you guys haven't. But I thought I would put that out there :)

I love the style of this vlog. It kind of reminds me of a film. I know it's technically a documentary but this makes it feel so professional yet fun.
The video was really nice but it felt so scripted. It didn't feel real. It almost felt like a slightly scripted tv show about vloggers.

I love you guys but I don't like this vlogging style. I like the old way
I really like this new vlogging style you're trying out, but I miss the rawness your vlogs usually have. This vlog is beautiful, but it doesn't feel as...real as we'd like it to. It's obviously not fake, it's still all you all genuine and honest, but it's less raw and that makes a difference.

I love that you said you put Alexa first. A lot of people seem to think you're supposed to put your kids first, but if you don't have a happy and healthy relationship with your significant other then you will likely see that in your kids and your kids will be happy if you are happy!

What happen to the cruise vlogs...once I saw ya uploaded I was like yaa cruise vlogs.😁😂.. but cool video but at times seems like a commercial..I loved the old style better seem more real life not watching a show..I miss the wow and talking more about Jesus Christ that is what drew to me subscribed.

This is a great vid but it's more like something you would watch as reality tv. Don't know if I'm just used to them but I like the old format better.. old format makes the vids look more personal and happy and fun..

I love the style, the quality from before was better but it's still enjoyable. The editing was beautifully done, awesome job Carlos! I do miss the intro video and the names at the beginning though 😔, it always got the energy up! And "let's go" and "chopped livvah" is a PenaVega staple. Loved the new vlog style! Question though: was this in collaboration or partnership with KIND?! There’s nothing about that in the video or the description but I mean it seemed like a huge promotion/commercial at some points. If it was, that’s cool - but it should be disclosed in the video description or in the video itself. If it is not a partnership and it’s just part of the new vlog style, interesting take on which products to feature/highlight. Can’t wait for the episode 2.

I love you guys and this was clearly well shot, it looks very professional but it just seemed a bit fake...your vlogs are always so exciting and colorful but this was just very gloomy

I watched this vlog last night after work and right before going to bed but was too tired to write a proper comment about how I feel because I work until 1:30am every day. Anyway, I gotta say I really love this new style of vlogging you guys are starting. I’ve read a few of the other comments just now and was surprised to see quite a bit of negative feedback. Not that other people’s opinions really matter because you guys should do for yourselves what you love to do, but I really do love this style, and it definitely gives a much more homey feeling and familial vibe. You guys have such wonderful ideas and I’m really impressed with all the progress you make not just with vlogs but with your lifestyle as well. Y’all really inspire me, and I love watching! I really liked this style of video! It seemed very personal I’m not sure if it was the angles or filters or what. The content of course but something about it felt less like “ooh look at what were doing on this vlog” (not that you guys ever did that) and more like “here’s a look into our lives” and I really appreciate that!!

Gonna be totally honest, I didn’t like this new style of vloging very much (not hating I promise, I love you guys) I guess I just missed seeing Carlos being silly and Carlos being in front of the camera. Y’all are my favorite couple on RUclips but I do miss the old style.

This was a great video regarding quality and editing! But I miss the style of the old vlogs. They were funnier, more full of life and realness. It also almost felt like Carlos wasn’t being completely himself in this vlog.
