Thanks for that Norm it brought back memories of when I was in Gladstone for about 4 years I had some good and bad memories of the Narrows but what a great spot especialy Yellow Patch. I got some great mud crabs around Sea Hill. I look forward to your next video.
Great test run, Norm. Thats got to feel good. South entrance is a bit tricky. I was up the Narrows last week for a fishing day. I have been caught on the wrong side of the cattle crossing, years ago. Slept in the tinnie overnight. Got home a few hours last. You are at the mercy of tides. Yes, and it is a bit choppy coming back in to Gladdy at times. Bit of a whirlpool at the front.
Oh Well Done Lord Dude. I really enjoyed that trip. Hope you have a lot more to come, as I am hanging out to see what you have gotten up to. Please Wish Wendy a Very Happy birthday from me, and hope she has many more good times to come. Best of Luck mate. A Big WOOF to Lord Ted!
@@MotorSailingforOldDudes My Pleasure Lord Dude! I love your travels and feel like I am part of it; even though my bum is anchored in Gippsland. It is a fantastic series! Cheers Lord Dude. Best wishes to Wendy on her Birthday and a HUGE WOOF to Lord Teddy!
I put one of those (plastic)drive plates behind my 4 cylinder perkins 2000hrs ago I've never heard a word from it since ,don't frett Norm they are good
Gees that walk must have been mangroves when I lived in Gladstone Wasn't even a marina in 1980 ,, quite like Gladstone ,, us to take the old Calypso across the harbour to Facing Island to entertain the kids
Excellent again Norm. Very interesting to come with you on your adventures. As a matter of interest, what sort of draught does Peggy Ann have. Cheers. Erik
Great video Norm with really useful information. Polyflex make really durable high quality products. I'm running their vibration attenuator couplings in my catamaran and they are infinitely superior to the originals supplied by yanmar.
Yeah dude. I never usually film the whole process, but it involves easing the sheet off slightly then going forward and furling it in. Can take 5 or 6 trips from bow to stern. Keeps me fit. Easier with crew. Cheers Dude.
Congrats nice video good to see the plates work a treat ..
Thanks 👍 A lot quieter and less vibration.

It sure is Peter. How did you go with the midgees?
@@MotorSailingforOldDudes fierce little critters. They are bad when you have no wind. Lots of spray and mossy coils.

Thanks for that info Dude. Great to hear. She certainly is quieter and not as much vibration with the Polyflex plates.

Yep. The marina and surrounds are top class.
Great job Norm. From audio definitely quieter and less vibration.
Yep Bernard a lot nicer underwater. I guess all the noise sort of crept up on me and I didn't notice. She's a happier girl now.

Yep. The damper plates are a lot quieter. Thanks for watching.
Norm I’m intrigued how you manage the sheet as well as furling or setting the sail at the same time at opposite ends of the boat !
Yeah dude. I never usually film the whole process, but it involves easing the sheet off slightly then going forward and furling it in. Can take 5 or 6 trips from bow to stern.

Easier with crew.
Cheers Dude.
Thanks Norm .
