  • From the archives of the Orrville Railroad Heritage Society comes the Steel City Express, a video documenting one of Nickel Plate Road no. 765's excursions between Akron, Ohio, and Pittsburgh, Pennslyvania. In 1993, the 765 was cosmetically altered to appear as a Chesapeake & Ohio steam locomotive for the year's New River Trips. Climb aboard for this vintage throwback to mainline steam running at 60 miles an hour.

She had two whistles for these trips. The main Nathan 6 chime on the engineers side, and some sort of five chime on the fireman’s side. She carried a C&O hooter later that year on the fireman’s side, during the new river runs.
