Good video, but a bit dry. I miss the usual video snippets that loosen things up a bit and give your head a moment to process the information you've just absorbed. To be honest, I mentally gave up after 20 minutes. After a fraction of that, it was clear to me that Nevermind obviously has mental problems that have not yet been diagnosed. I'm not defending his actions that he made almost 10 years ago, since it is still weird that he did that and that his parents and her parents were fine with it. But it only lasted for a month until he broke it off with her and ultimately decided it wasn't right for him to do that. He never took advantage of her, and never raped her or did anything like that. If he did, then we would have more of an issue with him and we wouldn't be associating with him. Plus, he would have legal problems if he ever did anything like that. The point is that they were in a small relationship that didn't mean much, it lasted one month, and he never did anything serious with her. He has since moved on and doesn't pursue women that young to this day. He's almost 30 now, and he doesn't even pursue women who are my age (I'm 24), since he considers them to be too young for him. He learned from his mistake and changed as a person, and the mistake he made was not horrible by any means. I don't hold any ill will towards SP, as the person he dated may have moved on, but I should point out that no legal age of consent below 18 matters, as 18 is the biological/mental/cognitive/moral age of consent; something being legal doesn't make it moral, and the age of consent is and will always be nothing younger than 18. The video should also be age-restricted, as it has inappropriate words and topics.
But people’s brains don’t develop fully until they’re 25 so by the logic of moral/cognitive age of consent, shouldn’t it be 25? I always thought 18 was a legal thing and not a biological one. That said, I do think 20 and 16 is too large of an age/mental gap at that age, regardless of legality but I feel similarly with any large (2+ year) age gaps if one or both parties is below 25.

How I think it ought to be is half your age + 7 until you're 36, then from that point on, don't go below 25. 25 is a fully formed adult, 18 year olds are not.

I'm not defending his actions that he made almost 10 years ago, since it is still weird that he did that and that his parents and her parents were fine with it. But it only lasted for a month until he broke it off with her and ultimately decided it wasn't right for him to do that. He never took advantage of her, and never raped her or did anything like that. If he did, then we would have more of an issue with him and we wouldn't be associating with him. Plus, he would have legal problems if he ever did anything like that. The point is that they were in a small relationship that didn't mean much, it lasted one month, and he never did anything serious with her. He has since moved on and doesn't pursue women that young to this day. He's almost 30 now, and he doesn't even pursue women who are my age (I'm 24), since he considers them to be too young for him. He learned from his mistake and changed as a person, and the mistake he made was not horrible by any means. I'm not asking you to forget that he did that, but at least be open-minded and respect that he's trying to make a change for himself.
