Amouage Interlude Black Iris is my favorite modern day masculine scent.
Modern men's fragrances have swayed too unisex.
Black Iris is an absolute workhorse which leaves a trail of destruction everywhere I go.
Once my body temperature rises, Black Iris goes to another level.
Bottle has had time to macerate over the last 9 months since purchase. It's become even more potent now.
Black Iris makes the designer fragrances look like juveniles.
Master perfumery finding that perfect blend between all the notes.

Back to the Fragrance, I do love the first one and the strong version of it.
I have both but this one I am hesitating on for been too crow pleasing mode.
I love this one, too. It's certainly not for everyone but a seasoned nose can definitely appreciate the complexity, sophistication and mysteriousness this fragrance offers. It's smoother and more refined than the original but still maintains that rich and resinous core. The bottle looks stunning as well. 🔥

i got a sample of this last week... i couldnt stand this the top note for me was ugh!!!!oh boy after the dry down i was in love...this is really freaking nice.. for me i would have to wear this around the house some time b4 leaving the house...longetivity on this baby was off the chain, i woke up still smelling this clearly like i just put it on...this is a beast...i just order a sample of interlude man to try...
Nice review Ash. Black Iris is infinitely better than the original. It was an over hyped disappointment for my taste. Black Iris is magnificent. Lasts over 14 hours on my skin. Its opening is so lush. And just becomes super smooth. Its second equal in my Amouage bottles Reflection Man 45 is King, Black Iris and Jubilation XXV 2nd equal both absolutely Beautiful. But very different in notes.
Just bought this! When the aftershaves wears you instead of you wearing the aftershave 😅 80% of my brain loves it 20% of my brain just wants to shut off and move away from this smell. Very interesting overall! DO NOT BLIND BUY

I can't think of another iris forward fragrance that I like as much as this. I LOVE this. The only caveat is that it's not that versatile. More of a statement type fragrance. Wear it to the opera, not the office. That said, its an easy 11/10.
I don't know how I feel about this scent it's very smokey and herbal , very intense you won't find anything like it. It is a pure statement maker. If you wear it you will be noticed I'm completely on the fence with it but it is high end niche and blended to perfection and bottle is stunning

I can't always remember prices from all these niche and designer houses. It's nice when you mention retail and prices at discounters or twisted lily...not a big deal but saves me some time looking it l up (so lazy lol one link is apparently too much) dont judge!...so if you can then mention it all the time!

My scent of the day is interlude black Iris and I'm wearing it at the start of spring and for me even though it's strong it actually doesn't come off as very pungent and strong because it not in the dead of Summer 😁

Ash why wouldn't Gucci relaunch great fragrances such as Gucci Envy, Gucci Rush and Gucci Pour Homme I? There are so many previous wearers out there who want those fragrances. Also, there is an entirely new generation of guys who would be smelling these fragrances for the first time.

I had decided to pick the beast(Interlude Black Iris) Instead, I opted for the beast slayer(Epic). I'm sure each one has a different preference, but a guy with no nose would agree that Epic is better than Interlude Black Iris.

They are not very high quality or unique, but the price is not very high either. I’d recommend you order some samples.

@@brandonmitchell1457 if you like clean, their Lazy Sunday Morning is very clean and light, but maybe not very masculine. Also in the clean category Penhaligon’s Castile and MFK Acqua Celestia Forte.

@@admenocal thank you for the suggestions!! My clean scents I own are just ADG edt and savage edt. However my batch of sauvage literally has worse performance than my ADG and I dont prefer the scent as much either.

I find man men's fragrances are alike or Calvin Kleinish. It seems they smell stale many times too. I liked Fendi, Happy before. Now I mainly use body mists. One I like is Melon Sorbet.
