Dirty Dancing is one of the few movies that takes place solely in one location. However the movie was filmed at TWO different locations, edited magnificently to appear as if it all takes place at one resort in the Catskills, Kellerman's. I visited both locations, Pembroke Virginia and Lake Lure North Carolina, and told the story of this fantastic movie.

K, Im now addicted to your channel. So good. TYSM for your excellent work. Now I need to rewatch DD, though I saw it three times when it came out. I was an actor in a murder mystery weekend jn an old Catskills resort in 1986. Oooo, so fun. Ice skating, horseback riding…all free for actors so we would interact w the guests. I had to die in Sat night so I was in the room after dinner til next morning breakfast when all was revealed.

The stairs shown in this video are not the stairs that are for dirty dancing. A lot of people show it in their videos, but the real Dirty Dancing stairs are about 100, 150 meters to the left. On the same hill. They are barely visible anymore, but you can find them.

Nice episode, but those stairs in the video are not the real ones during filming. The right ones are almost non-existent and are about 100 meters away from the lake. The ones you showed were built later. 90% of visitors rave about them, but they are wrong. If you don't find out yourself where the right stairs are, write me and I'll show you.
You didn't mention that Jennifer Grey was engaged to Broderick AND Johnny Depp the SAME year.
