    Maybe helps answer a question for me.
    Got a new Guild D40 Traditional a yr ago (never played it yet...and string tensioned loosened) and the action looks higher than should at the upper registers now.
    I know there can't be a belly - so must need truss rod tightened.

      you probably are right, I would check it under string tension first, then if truss needs tightened loosen strings and tighten it, then tune it up again. thanks for viewing!

    I purchased a guitar. Is there anyway to identify the strings that are already on it? By that, I mean the brand.

      not that I'm aware of. If you have a micrometer you can measure the gauge of each string and get a set of the same gauge that's on it. I hope this helps. thanks for watching!
