Alphi really grows this expansion. Even from the first moment we see him, when he walks into the bar with that poncho, the way he carries himself is different. This one year in the First, of seeing the suffering of the common folk irrespective of borders and politics, has really grounded him into the moment. A ton happens this expansion, but I will always love just how much growth our friends get along the way.

I'm ashamed to say, I sat through 10 minutes and 43 seconds of this, thinking "who's that Elezen bloke, I don't remember him?" before realising, that's your character. I think I've smoked enough for one night.
A lot of folks got uncomfortable with the 'big fat evil rich guy' stereotype, but it's actually not. Dulia-Chai is thicker than a Snickers milkshake, but she's also my ride-or-die bestie. Vauthry isn't fat - he's a /creepy baby/, in behavior and all. And it makes a lot of things make so much more sense.
