  • Freighter Friday with the Arthur Anderson.
    What's not to love...?
Notably, this classic is one of the more gorgeous vessels still sailing the Great Lakes.
Captured here coming off Lake Erie and into the Amherstburg Channel, during a beautiful sunny summer day in July 2024 with the Bucees flag flying over the bridge.
Sit back and enjoy the video as she passes by the old Boblo Boat docks on Boblo Island.
    767' of pure beauty.
Seven decades later and she is still running on steam power. (Westinghouse Electric Corporation Double-Reduction Geared Steam Turbine).
She is famous for being the last vessel that was in contact with the Edmund Fitzgerald before she sank and her efforts in searching for survivors.
Built by the American Shipbuilding Company in Lorain Ohio, she is currently owned by the Great Lakes Fleet Inc.
Fair winds and following seas to the Captain and Crew.

She is one beautiful ship. It’s always an honor to see her in person because I had a cousin who worked on her when the Edmund Fitzgerald went down. Always think of him in November. Beautiful video of her. 😊
