Your video is Educational, therapeutic, and looks very peaceful out there. Your guys happy dog is even getting in on the action. Nothing beats that in my book. We’re watching from the sf Bay Area , Thanks for sharing .
Thats an amazing area you guys live close to! Wish that was in my back yard, I have to drive a good hour or so to get into our little Pennsylvania mountains lol.
The 4Runner is GIFTED, compared to the cruiser. Thinner, lighter. For reliable than say a herp. I have had 4 3rd generations. 1 I 2002 sold for Hawaii. 2) 2001 and gave to a freind. 3) 2000 Manual still mine 4). 2002, gave to my father to tow his boat All limited Except, my own manual 2000. One owner. I got the was buy of a LX470crusier, which was to big and to flashy…(actually got me in trouble)
Love the peacefulness and scenery. Are you guys in 4 low most of the time on these steep inclines and declines? I don't remember hearing if you said and it's been over 20 years since I've been off roading, just turned 45. I live in the states-Michigan and maybe one day I could find some friends or a club to join to do this, obviously without the amazing scenery, lol. Unfortunately it won't be for awhile, going through a divorce and I want my wife to have our 2015 Tacoma-auto.... so I'll be looking for a third gen 4runner with a 5 speed manual trans, hopefully I can find one for a decent price and not be rotted out. Thanks for sharing the adventure, helps a guys mindset wonder away from what I'm going through. 🍻
Hey, yes absolutely in 4lo, 4high would be tough on the truck forsure. My truck has 4.30 gears and 33" tires. I'm considering going all in and going 35s and new gears 4.88.
@@Beacon_Offroad ok, thank you. I think 35s would be awesome, I've never owned a lifted vehicle and always wanted 35s, I don't know how gearing works to well, but I imagine that would be good for low speed, easier to turn the big tires and better on the drive train? How would it do at highway speeds?
Just a absolutely beautiful video great camera angles. Are you guys Locked in the rear? If so did you use them on that climb up Hale Creek? Loving the content!
Can I do this with my stock TRD pro 4runner? My friends have jeeps with 33s and lift, I want to go with them and obviously we would spot each other but non of us have done Hale yet, thoughts? Thank you and awesome content
Well it will be close. People have definitely done hail hard with stock vehicles. Just take your time and pick nice lines. If not just go out easy way which has gotten considerably harder.
I came up this way on my KTM 690 a couple weeks back. He is not kidding about how steep this trail is. I stopped a couple times to catch my breath and used an inclinometer on my compass. The steepest spot I measured was 30 degrees lowest slope was about 22. The average was around 27 degrees. Looks so much easier with 4 wheels driving vice one :) Nice video. Here is my trip on the bike. ruclips.net/video/SO465h1qifg/видео.html
Mine has 295/70/17 Toyo Mt's and the white one has 285/70/17 Toyo At3's. Currently. I thought i was commenting on my new video from yesterday innthe same location, check it out. ruclips.net/video/wujTLBFElwE/видео.html

Great video Kelly. Now you’re making me miss summer lol
Always miss summer 😥
@@Beacon_Offroad Just not how dusty the roads are lol
Great video! You guys made it look eaaasy well done!
Thanks Teddy.
Nice driving guys!!! You should try doing the Fossil Beach run - just off the easy trail down to Hale - it’s a lot of fun!
Thanks, I don't know fossil looks brutal now. Would probably need 35s or have to send it hard???
Great video Kelly! Currently editing our trip from the weekend🤗
Thank you. Awesome, what a great day.

That looks like a very fun day out! What differentials are in your Toyotas? LSD, locker, stock, TRAC? You don't seem to slip very much.
Great times. Electric locking rear diff.

Thanks James and yes we both have e lockers. I only used it on the last part, kinda steep and uneven.
Awesome video! You filmed all those drone shots? If so you have a cinematic eye for film
Yes I did. Thanks Trey. 👍
You sound like Iron Man bro
Ive heard that a lot in my comments. lol

@@Beacon_Offroad We might go out the easy way the first time to gauge how we fair, and see where it goes! Thank you for the advice. Cheers
My 2000 4Runner also makes that whining/buzzing noise on initial revving of the engine. Do you know what causes it?
