- I decided to put together a video of some rescue and lost hiker calls we've gotten in the state park system here in the Hudson Highlands. These examples are mild and luckily turned out everyone was safe in the end. I hope this illustrates what its like using the gear I review on this channel for the work I do and it hopefully might give you an idea the capabilities of the gear.
Thanks to Andrew, David, Evan, and Andre. Also thanks to the other first responders we have with us.
Shot on a panasonic gh2 iso 640, wb 3500k, aperture of 6.1 at 24fps. The file footage was shot on an old samsung note 3. Audio was recorded with a Zoom h6 with a rode filmmaker lav kit.
Since I found your channel, I have been going through all of your previous videos. I live here in AZ, outside the Phoenix metro area. There are always stories of hikers not bringing enough or any water on a hike, and the sun is relentless here. There is a group of firefighters that are in a special unit dedicated solely for these rescue. Thanks for sharing, I'm originally from east coast, and the scenery you pictured is something I'm a bit nostalgic for.
Thanks my friend. I have another video in the works talking about recent rescues.
Bless you for the honourable work you do.
We are all truly fortunate to have great persons such as yourself watching our backs when things go awry for us out there.
Thank you.
thanks, the crew does a good job at bringing people back down.
Fantastic light choices! 👊👍
thanks my friend! how you been?
So beautiful out there! Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching. Stay safe out there guys
@@TheFossilChannel you're welcome! We really enjoy making outdoor content also
taking trails mountains deserts oceans.....for granted......will mean your life.
it will.
It amazes me that people go out ill prepared and definitely not educated on proper outdoor gear and clothing.
We do our best as park workers and trail stewards to help people. Unfortnately people take the luxies of life that we have for granted in cases.
Nice, I hiked Breakneck yesterday
It's amazing how many people don't bring water much less standard survival gear. Most times I've had to aid in extractions the common denominators are lack of water and panick.
yes this has been my experience as well. we even have people going into the parks on acid and then get called to bring them down.
I remember talking to Andre that night
yeah he was out late with us. im glad he came with us. Andre is a good man.
wow
eeeeyyy ed!
