I've an old office shredder & feed cardboard i get from a mate through it, which makes little pieces 25x5mm. Mixes grand with grass clippings & I get through more than 200kg a year. Collecting stuff to compost is almost an obsession as I reckon I need 2½ tons a year to add a 3cm layer over all the beds.
Hi Tony, thats a good swap with Paul, rhubarb for grass & leaves from his garden. It looks really nice stuff for your compost bin . Thanks for sharing and take care 😊
Hiya Toni great to see a bit of a barter and banter lol Thankyou great tips on compost. Anything that recycle reuse reduction is favoured Take care Ontario Canada 🇨🇦🐝
How have you got so much rhubarb? Mine is still short, I’ve put some good home made compost on it and some well rotted horse manure but it’s still pathetic 😥
I got a horihori because i seen your video on it. I was made up with it used it a few times then we had a series of break ins and the bas@#£ds took it 😠 I'll get another one day
Dont leave your hori hori in your hut people now know Tony and you didn’t even lock it. All that good equipment worries me when i see others getting broken into.
You two are hysterical, thanks for making me laugh! Great rhurbarb

I never learned to like rhubarb, but that's a gorgeous plant! Did you grow it from seed? I wonder if it would work as a yard plant?
Don’t take your rhubarb down to nothing. It does grow back yes, but it needs some leaves to grow back with! 👍🏻
Love cherry rhubarb crumble. My cherry blossoms are in freeze jeopardy this week…ugh.
How long does that lot take to compost down?
I love the vids tony but the missus said you go on a bit hahah😂
I’ve lost some of my cabbage plants at home today, found them compost gnats in the pots 😮 Wish this weather would pick up a bit.
Try cinnamon tea

Does rhubarb grow better against a sheltering wall? I think mine gets too much sun, it doesn't grow very big😢

What does the heat tape do?
I was always told dont put rhubarb leaves in compost but never knew why,I think they poisonous
Yes they are. But when broken down in compost it loses its poison and is ok for garden use. Just don’t eat the leaves! 😂👍🏻
