@@calaragazza3556 @olgafigueroa2909 None of this is true. Sony commissioned another album after "By Heart" but Brenda decided to take time off to be a mom. Tommy never blacklisted her. She then became a very successful Latin artist and her priorities changed, There were a handful of dance releases on her own label and most recently a new dance single and Christmas album. Now that her daughter is grown Brenda has been doing more shows than ever!
I really prefer her version, that soft lighter higher pitch voice is just too good to listen.

I just saw Mariah's video. And I'm sorry, Brenda's version is better! She's the first to record it, as far as I know. BTW Brenda is as hot as ever and she sounds as good as ever in this vid! But she should have a full band instead of just the musical track to sing over. Cheap promoter!

The music is a track with some backing vocals but the lead vocal is live. It seems she wasn’t in perfect voice here as she dodges some big notes and prompts the audience to carry the beltier parts. The show must go on and she got through it!

I heard her live about 20 years ago, voice sounded fine, just gotta remember this is live on stage. Alot you have to contend with, as far as background noise. And for a lady pusshing 60, she looks amazing.
