The composition of Baba I Bulleh Shah is at the highest level of Marfat which only a few people can understand. It is at the spiritual level of realisation not by mugging up the Holy Quran.

Baba Bule Shah ji is the soul of Punjabis both in India and Pakistan. He simply steals your heart and puts it in tune with the ultimate. Abida Parveen ji is superb and does great justice to the poetry of peer Bulle Shah.

Baba Bulleh Shah wouldn't have given a shit about India because he was a Punjabi by heart and his voice resonated among Indus people (Sindhis, Punjabis, Kashmiris). Punjab should have never been divided in the first place, had Master Tara Singh not fooled Sikhs...all of Punjab would have been part of Pakistan today.

Sufi saints were distinctly Muslim, the fact that most non Muslims think otherwise is only because they made Sufism a fashionable trend and for it to be considered trendy, they had to remove it from its very roots, Islam. At least don't be intellectually dishonest. Sufi poetry is for people of all religions to love and appreciate but Sufism itself stems from Islam. Blame your own ignorance and hatred of Muslims if you cannot even come close to acknowledging that.
