I loved Terrence Stamp as General Zod. One of the best performances of a villain I've ever seen. The best scene was when he speaks to the president in the Oval office.
Richard Lester was far from a hack. Lester was an auteur in his own right. He has influenced many filmmakers and influence how we watched film and music videos. You watched A Hard Days Night that's great filmmaking.
stndrds79 I actually liked it, despite all the unnecessary slapstick comedy and gags incorporated by Lester. I wish the disheveled Superman would’ve been a larger part of the plot.
SUPERMAN I and SUPERMAN II were actually shot together not back to back by DONNER . They had to stop shooting SUPERMAN II to get SUPERMAN I released before the release date also DONNER did not like all campy stuff in both so they begin script rewrites I think they went over budget and the SALKINDS were in bad situation so they had no choice but to fire DONNER but LESTER was like there behind the scenes and I think when the rest 2 was shot DONNER wasn't there I think several of the actors were not happy about it some of them did not want to return like when you see GENE HACKMAN'S face that's all DONNER footage so they had body double for the LESTER shots now we have the DONNER CUT of SUPERMAN II which is better in this version the 3 villians are more cruel and dangerous then they were in the LESTER version .also in this new version SUPERMAN turns the world again like he did the first film to repair the damages caused by the 3 villians and don't see the funny gags in the LESTER version.

Well Gene Hackman played one hell of a villian in Unforgiven
One of my favorite movies!
That kid defied physics. I believe he fell for 10.. Maybe 12 mins.
Miss Teschmacher!!

9:21 - :59 You can tell it's from 1 'cause Gene quit after Donner was taken off.
Oh God!
ZOD!
Lester ruined superman.
rockie0708 how so just cuz he fired
Donner don’t be silly
stndrds79 too much slapstick comedy in S III. Had Donner & Tom Mankiewicz remained involved with 3, it would’ve been a much better film.
MMAFighter38 agreed I never cared for Superman III
