I wouldn’t say its cursed but more of misfortune livery? But I heavily agree that its fancy. shame they removed 9V-SPL’s one because of her sister’s crash..
Took me a while to understand the comment. It actually says Sibir (Сибирь) which is the Russian word for Siberia on that Tu154. What's now S7 Airlines used to be called Siberia Airlines
Man, there’s just something about the A310 that’s really cool. It’s like it’s trying to be big, but it’s just kinda short and chubby. It’s pretty funny 😂
I just realized this is a really good personal video camera considering it was from 1999. Like skits from the comedy show SNL from 2003 look way worse that this footage.
Why is there not a single piece footage of Rhein-Main Air Base movements? Where's all the C17, C-5, Starlifters etc..? I think it's a major oversight to leave them out of the video completely (unless you weren't allowed to film them?) Interesting video nonetheless.
While there are of course some beautiful planes around today, the variety shown here simply isn't there anymore. I rarely bother visiting airports for viewing now as once you've seen a few, you've seen them all really. The exception being when a specifically chartered plane is scheduled. Great video!
I believe FRA has the most airlines of any airport. More than Heathrow for sure. Paris is closer I believe. In any case, FRA has well over 100 separate airlines.
After more than 20 years, planes still look the same... yes, today's planes are more fuel efficient, quieter, and have more advanced computers, but the commercial jet technology advancement has somewhat stagnated.

It’s because of flight MH370 and MH17 that they got retired
@@csgamer1904umm no, that’s not the reason lmao. They’re old planes, they’ve been replaced by newer ones.
Is the thumbnail the same plane as Singapore Airlines flight 006?
Indeed a 747-400 : yes, it's the same type of aircraft.
Singapore Airlines had 2 painted in this livery so I guess its a 50/50 chance...
Nope. The one in the thumbnail (and at 2:42:18) is 9V-SPL and the one which was involved as SQ006 was 9V-SPK.
No thats 9V-SPL.
Because of the crash 9V-SPL's Tropical Livery was removed
9V-SPL actually still flies, for Atlas Air under N471MC
Thats was I was thinking
Omg that old Finnair livery is so pretty and nostalgic😢❤️
Simba it’s so nostalgic.
2:42:18 That's the sister aircraft of 9V-SPK, the 747-400 that crashed as Singapore Airlines Flight 006.
