I'm not that young. I'm 37. But I'm rebuilding my life after facing permanent consequences of sin, as you said (a divorce), and coming to know the Lord through it. Everything is new. I have to learn all over again how to be a human being. And while I wish I had learned these things 25 years ago, I am so thankful and being so blessed by these lessons. And I also hope they can help me in my brand new career as a teacher, to be a good witness and point some of the kids in the right direction. Thank you so much for this.

Maybe I can't often hear words of wisdom from my biological Papa but I am so grateful to GOD that He raised up a sir Paul Washer whom he is using to constantly reminding his children. God gets all the glory!

Such an amazing warning. It's good to listen to teachings like this that warn us. Sin is real and it is doing what God hates. It harms, it hurts, it destroys and therefore we need to walk from it and walk to God.
Sometimes when I think about it, it really amazes HOW MUCH God loves us. The things that He wants us to do are the very things that bless us and that's why He wants us to do them. My favorite verse in the Bible actually expresses how much it pleases God to bless us.
Zephaniah 3:17
The Lord your God in your midst,
The Mighty One, will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.”

Hi Paul! You have been talking about the wanting of money. Does the ideas of Socialism, the idea of a classless society make many not want money? Doesn't this take away the wanting of money, as it is impossible to become wealthy? I am not sure if Socialism is a Christian idea. Marx said that the ideas of Christianity and Socialism cannot coincide, but I am wondering if it is really the opposite.

Hello! Tuning in from Philippines. Im a 20 year old and my family is not saved. I have a younger sister aged 9 who i do evening bible time every night with. She seemed to like it but now, she shows no interest and is upset when we do Bible time. She prefers games and watching youtube videos. How do i lead her to God without ‘forcing’ her? I dont want her to grow up like she was in a prison sentence with me and i dont want her to grow up without biblical truths and principles. Please help
Brother continue to pray for your family and be a light, if you must weep in anguish over their brokenness and need for Christ. My grandma told me that God didn't call me to be a Carpenter but to be a light. I too am facing the same issue with my own family so you're not alone brother, and I'm praying for you and your family as well
I am the only one saved in my family. I was persecuted at first. Then, they finally accepted me. It is not easy to share the gospel as I face mockery and rejection. Jonah 2:9, "Salvation is of the Lord". Only God can save them. Pray that their spiritual eyes will be opened and the will come unto repentance. If they are His sheep, they will be saved because God's grace is irresistable. Lord's blessings to you.

@@balanced_barrister Pastor Paul was teaching on this previously in this series. I think some relevant topics to help guide you are living in kindness and truth (Lesson 39). These are the notes I took: Kindness and truth: where we grow in both truth and kindness. We speak truth always in the context of love, kindness, mercy and patience. Kindness without truth is not helpful. Truth without kindness is damaging.
Another relevant topic is from the Q&A (Lesson 13) around the 17 minute mark, I would watch the whole video.
From my opinion and understanding from watching this series on Proverbs. I remember Pastor Paul was sharing how he loved his children, spent time reading stories to them with different and funny voices. I think you can apply this principle with your sister. Spend time talking about serious and not so serious things, help them with school, help the household, serve with joyfulness. I hope this helps. Please watch the videos Lesson 39 and 13, they go more in depth than me and are very helpful.
