Thanks for sharing these tones Ian! I have a Tele and an S style guitar and have been torn on what my next one should be to round out my sounds. The SA2000 looks to be a winner.
I picked one up a few years ago. I saw it in the shop for sale for $895 and I fell in love with it. The guitar sounded so nice and felt so good. I immediately bought it without knowing much about it. Come to find out how much of a coveted guitar it is. Such an amazing piece of work
I myself have never had a “trigger” guitar, because I have long been unsettled. However, I have been considering this one as a dependable alternative to the ES-335 or 345. I first learned about it when I was a teen in the mid 90s. The SA2200 is Yamaha’s current semi-hollow model. Reviewers and commenters actually say the 2200 is better than the 335. I would like to know if there’s a difference between that model and the 2000 beyond the coil splitting. Could you tell me?
Thank you so much for the great description of this guitar; I'm very interested in these, but am curious about the weight. I recently had an 80's Ibanez AS80, and it was very heavy; apparently about 9 lb 10 oz. Curious if this guitar is comfortable enough on a strap for a whole gig. Thank you!
Sorry for another question, but I'm also curious about the neck; I also recently bought a vintage SG and found the neck was paper thin! Apparently the nut on these is 1.6875", do you find it more on the thin/narrow side, or more baseball bat-like, or between? Thank you!
You're getting all of those tones out of your pedal board, not the guitar. Lol. Demo it without the pedals and get those tones and I might be impressed. Still, nice guitar. Cheers.
I've got probably the best guitar Yamaha ever made and no money would buy it .a pleasure to play I love it

I had an sa2000 but I did sell it. Now I have an sa2200 not the same. I think I liked the neck on sa2000 better although it is very close.
Very helpful video thx a lot
