Paolini is one of my favorites. She is lovely on and off the court. For those who like to talk about Zheng's handshake, look at Paolini's , emotionless, not much eye contact, but that's a normal reaction when someone loses. After Rybakina lost to Zheng, Ryba's handshake wasn't warm either. So cut players some slack and don't expect them to look exuberant right after a loss. They are human after all.
Wow, Zheng's ball placement so precise, it's so tough for her opponents. If she plays like this, she has a chance to finally beat Sabalenka. Hoping for more great games like this!
It is a different match up since Sabalenka handles topspin better and hits the ball harder than Paolini. But if Zheng serves like this, she can certainly at least push Sabalenka to three sets.
Anyone can play lights out when the mental game is there. I was shocked when Halep took out Serena at wimbledon. Serena acknowledged that Halep played lights out and she, Serena was super nervous in that final.

People have criticised her for not being friends with others on the tour, but she’s made it clear that making friends would compromise her competitive spirit. Another reason she can't mix with others is that she can't speak good English. Try talking to her in Chinese before criticizing her; she is not friendly.
