If I had a watch with a band like that, I'd make a video to show how to do this with a pair of precision needle nose pliers. So much easier.

No idea. Garmin is super odd about their watch bands. The 255/266 series has a little nub for quick release, the 955/965 have this odd standard and then the high end Fenix series has Garmin's Quick Release. No idea why. 🤷‍♂️

I’ve noticed that Quick Release mount is very particular about the Watch size. So I have my doubts. It seems like Garmin has given up on it with the new 955. 😬 I’m not sure why as lots of people really enjoyed it. Thanks for watching John!

That’s what Garmin told me@@mlegrand. They said to use extended display mode on a triathlon event which make no sense. 955 is the same with Edge models. Why will I do that. I hope some 3rd party vendors will make it soon. As of now, I’ll stay with my 945.😆

I tried hard to get used to the normal Garmin silicone strap that came with my 745. It’s fine during activities, but absolutely unusable as a daily driver to say, track your steps or sleep all day. The silicone is not breathable at all, water gets stuck inside the strap leading to skin irritation. I might go for a AW SE just to have a comfortable daily driver that I can work and sleep with. 😅

@@mlegrand I’m sure it costs them more in loss of sales for not doing it. That alone makes me kinda tempted to take it back. Fortunately for them this strap isn’t all that uncomfortable. It just comes standard for left wrist. & unfortunately, although the forerunner 235 has no problem tracking my heart rate on runs and in general. The 965 heart rate sensor completely shuts down if it sees even the slightest tattoo. So for that in particular to be a downgrade from a device that’s so many years old. I find very disappointing.
