Patrick Esume, Frank Buschmann, Icke Domisch & Björn Werner are doing a great job wich makes the game even more enjoyable. Sadly the broadcastingrights were given to RTL so I hope that the guys from pro 7 maxx will be transfered to RTL as well to keep the same energy during the commentary.

It started the same way in London. Everybody was hyped, the NFL made Fan Events and so on. Now there is nothing but a Sales Stand and you always get teams below .500. And like in London NFL doesnt care about the Black Market. But in the end it was great (beside the field quality) and the NFL now can harvest the next market
And Munich is not even close to be Football city here. Its rather Frankfurt or Berlin. I am into it since the 85 McMahon/Bears days. We had/have the Berlin Adler with fantastic memories of Raiders "camp arm" Clifford Madision, RB Clarence Rambo, a DLer called Stefan Mücke, and OL legend Wichmann, who had an NFL shop all the way back in 1988 in the City of Berlin. I still wear the Cunnigham jacket I bought there... In short: It was a mistake to close the NFL Europe (which basically ended as NFL Germany, great memories of Rohan Davey), it was a larger mistake to make the London series instead of one in Germany (actually the London Monachars folded, none of the German teams did)...

American living in Germany here. This has nothing to do with the military. It has everything to do with the fact that Germans love sports and love American football.
Grass for "European" Football is usually quite wet and slippery. It makes the game faster and gives passing teams an advantage. You can make grass less slippery by cutting it differently and watering it less. Also you can wear shoes with different cleats. That might come down to experience with grass for NFL teams.

Just for some money-greedy, fame hungry commentator we may not get NFL Europe 2.0. I don't see how that would fit into. NFL can proceed setting up, then ELF is crashed anyway but I'm afraid they may refrain or at least delete efforts. We need a NATIONAL league set-up anyhow, it's not working without developing youth! Anyone within 60km radius shall be able to join a Local Team like GFL has grown into with approx. 40 yrs heritage. And then NFL Europe as perfection enjoying the game passively and associating even better with National Teams. There is no space for ELF-Crap. Even in USA Summer side-leagues are not surviving on such a huge market. If any ELF quickly put together with crap design ruined NFL expansion. Who is wearing their ridiculous merchandise? What I like about games outside the states is that the hyped crowd noise is constant, because you'll have fans of both teams, some of neither, but fans of the game as evident from the variety of team jersey's in the crowd. It really helps make it a true neutral site game.
Thank you Pat! To get the chance to see the game live in the arena (the were 3million ticket requests), it was an amazing experience an a dream come true! But to see how you guys loved the atmosphere make me even more proud an honored! Thank you for the love! Glad we could share our while and after the game! Goosebums everywhere! As a german: DANKESCHÖN!
The atmosphere in that game was absolutely electric! I was surprised at just how loud that crowd was. Awesome stuff!
Other then having enthusiastic fans, the way our stadiums are built is different too. Like in the US the sound is better in a dome then it is in an open stadium without a roof. All german stadiums have to have roofs over all seats. So the sound waves are also reflected back down, compared to open stadiums.
Yea we are very loud. I was in the stadium too. I am a German NFL fan and for me it was the best I ever see in 22 years NFL fan. I was at few Super Bowls, home games from the patriots and lot more.
It was an amazing event. We will more :-)
Why is everyone surprised that there is a great atmosphere in a German soccer stadium? 😂 We have at least ten stadiums the nfl could go to with awesome atmosphere like that.
@SGTKIRKLAND exactly! When I was allocated by the Tennessee Titans to play for Frankfort Galaxy over there in the last year of NFL Europa in 2007, the fans turned out. We packed the stadium, whistles blowing, and way louder than any NFL stadium at that time frame. Ole Roger canned that league because I’m sure it wasn’t his idea. Those Germans have been waiting since then to get it back over there.
Shout out to all the guys on the 2007 Galaxy team. Memories made that we will keep a lifetime!
It was surprise that you showed out so hard for a very uniquely American sport, and sang a uniquely American song at the top of your lungs.
Thank you. Love you guys.
Hearing you talk about us Germans makes me a little bit proud to be German :) I hope there'll be many more NFL games over here, would love to see one live one of these days.
Careful. Last time Germans were proud to be Germans things went sideways pretty quick.
Lol, if there's one thing that is more reliable than death and taxes it's the NFL will be chasing all the money it can, and since the game was VERY well attended you can bet there will be more

Thanks for mentioning the crowd. Even watching on TV was really awesome and both teams put on quite a show. Really entertaining and looking forward to seeing more games over here! Keep it up guys! Have a good time
This game was insane. Definitely the best game overseas. Would have been incredible to attend.
Dankeschön für die vielen Komplimente… 👍
Thank u so much for all the compliments - was great to have the big show here!
Makes sense, they seem to be really into it, a lot of the international players we have in the NFL are from Germany
I visited Germany and the Czech Republic in 2012 and I did not want to go home!
Congratulations to the Buccaneers and Tom Brady on the win! 🇩🇪

Yes, it would be nice to have more people who want to be here because of the country it's people and culture and not because they get money from the government.
Munich is awesome - been there 2x. If anyone ever want to go, do it between thanksgiving and Christmas - the Christmas market is unbelievable!!
Thanks. Chrismas Market is open till Dec. 24th. Come for a Glühwein 😃👍🙋♀️
I lived in Germany for eight years and they definitely know how to have a good time!
As a German it feels really nice to hear this from you guys. I was looking through some comments on posts the NFL did about the Munich Game and was really upset because there where so many inappropriate nazi or WW2 comments.
That’s unfortunate. But don’t let a few idiots in a chat give you an inaccurate impression. Some people think they are being funny with those references, but really they are just being extremely insensitive.
@@stevenguild2707 The thing is it’s not just a few…I love the US but I feel like the „common people“ are quite uneducated when it comes to Germany and Europe in general😐 When we go to the US we hear things linke: Do you have cars? They love football in Germany! Was really excited the NFL got out there they have a great german football league out there.
95% of Germans do not care. But they have a small and passionate fanbase.
They also have the European league of football with old NFL Europe names.

besides the hipe here in germany, thanks to good morning football and the pat mac afee show to recognise the athmosphere over here and that you're speaking so positiv about that topic. I red a comment below that a bucs fan lost a home game in tempa because of this but he was happy in the end as he saw how it turned out.
Thanks to the nfl for bringing the game to germany, i wish i could have been in München that night or the nights before at a football bromance show with björn werner.
The popularity kind of came by the army for sure but back in the days. The growth startet 5-6 years ago because the broadcasting in germany was so entertaining on the channel pro 7 maxx.
I have been a fan of you since your WVU days and me as a german living in Germany appreciate you givin love to us.

it was a pleasure to have the game here in Munich. Welcome to friends to the city with heart ❤️👍🙋♀️ see you fans to another NFL Game in Munich
I flew from Seattle to Munich for this game, It was one of the most amazing experience of my life! Go Hawks!!!
At the end of the game the german fans were chanting "Oh, wie ist das schön! Oh, wie ist das schön! Sowas hat man lange nicht gesehen! So schön! So schön!" which you can translate to "Oh, that's so great! Oh, that's so great! You haven't seen anything like this for a long time! So great! So great!"
Usually german fans chant this after a huge win of their team or if their team wins a championship. It's not an every week chant.

The halloween tradition. The Christmas tradition. All of it! The fly overs! The US is such a proud nation and i love it.
Your always welcome in germany Pat🇩🇪❤️
It started the same way in London. Everybody was hyped, the NFL made Fan Events and so on. Now there is nothing but a Sales Stand and you always get teams below .500. And like in London NFL doesnt care about the Black Market. But in the end it was great (beside the field quality) and the NFL now can harvest the next market
"Kiss on the Eye" - Love to see you "Amis" appreciate the Crowd in Munich... hope to see the NFL back in Germany soon
Well, you know, the UK still has this pull over us Americans. Something about separation anxiety or along those lines. 😅
Hi,

Too bad I couldn't get any tickets for the game but I'm already hyped for an NFL game in Frankfurt.
As an American Germanophile who's visited Deutschland, Bayern being the heart of die amerikanische Sektor helps explain why the game was in München and not Berlin.
Additional information. NFL wants to become more international Business. Germany has the largest fan community outside of the USA and is located in the middle of Europe. Accessible from all sides. As far as I know, NFL has a close cooperation with FC Bayern Soccer Club since 2018. Therefore, 4 games from 2022 to 2025 are coming to Germany. The 1st NFL game of this close cooperation was in Munich Bucs vs. Seahawks. It was awesome 👌👍🙋♀️
I was so looking forward to watching this game, but they limited it to NFL Network (for the national audience). The NFL made a terrible decision not to put this game on CBS/FOX. You want people to see your big German premiere, yet you put it on a channel that most people don't get???
Baby you just told it the right way! Björn Werner was sooo important for Football in Germany, but it is very popular here!! We love it, the Sport and also the party around it Baby!! Come on I think you guys from the US watching the NFL every week can´t take apart the awsome mood in Germany ;) Country Roads is a popular song here like Sweet Caroline or Don´t Stop berlieving, like nearly all very popular song in the US. But this moment all 70 Toushsand sind it was soooo awsome, it gave me goosebumps alls over my arms, sorry if you dont felt it. But also the game was Awesome, the Wunderbar war set! Hope the NFL comes back and I get a ticket! Wish you all the best, great show!
It helps that the Bucs wear red, which is Bayern's (the team usually playing in the stadium) color.
It was scheduled as a Bucs home game, but considering all the Seahawks fans, they could have made it their home game.😅
American living in Germany here. This has nothing to do with the military. It has everything to do with the fact that Germans love sports and love American football.
Country Roads being sung was the best part of the game😎
Grass for "European" Football is usually quite wet and slippery. It makes the game faster and gives passing teams an advantage. You can make grass less slippery by cutting it differently and watering it less.
Also you can wear shoes with different cleats. That might come down to experience with grass for NFL teams.
Being a West By God Virginian that was Amazing !!!! I stopped the watch party, what are they singing? When we realized it was Country Roads, Drunken tears Flowed, Heart Punch, It was a global homecoming!!!!

The grass was wet because there was fog till 3 hours before the game. You only have to choose the right cleats than you will not slip! Watch soccergames in europe in november, no slippery at all! Missed research of the equipment managers and players!!!

It was so good. Thx for coming to Germany. I rly liked it.
German has multiple semi pro leagues. Also I think you should talk about the ELF it could use some big time promotion.
That in-between crap was never needed!
The GFL was just fine. It's the stupid majority who do not support/join their local Football Team to better it! Verein is actively moving your ass! Now that artificial ELF is even dividing that little crowd and the GFL Teams have it even harder to survive!
NFL Europe league which somewhat is planned again but like 3 yrs to late. NFL can hype proper and exhilarate on 90s Pioneer Grounds.
ELFchens und ELFlein just suck. No-one cares to get sucked in but already Hardcore Football Fans with to much Hartz Time!
Not one real kool logo or team uniform. Setting up in 2020 where each kindergardener can digitally photoshop! All the Sponsor Stickers on clothes like Soccer Suckery. 🤢 🤮
Nah needs no promotion, the sooner it closes down, the faster we get real Frankfurt Galaxy again! Owned and marketed professionally!
I'm a German, grew up with soccer all along and I canceled the German soccer TV-payments and got the Gamepass
American Football is a real thing among normal German people right now.
