my god, I'll love this band in all its iterations until the day I die. Though Jan was (and is) my favorite guitarist of all times, Thijs always seems to find someone that can more than carry his weight in the band. Thanks for posting.
From the first moment I heard (and bought) Moving Waves when still a teenager, I've never doubted Focus are without doubt one of the greatest bands of our generation. Seeing them live a few times since simply confirms that to be the case.
Under rated group from Holland and with Ian lead guitar was fantastic ,the one song that hit the public was a dumb PRACTICE SONG HOCUS POCUS is what folks remember about them and does not do justice to this fantastic group . They came out with YES , Emerson lake and Palmer, Tull, etc. This group was able to combine , jass, fusion, CLASSICAL together and Vanleer was able to get these guys to make it work from the drummer, bass, flute, organ and guitar work and all great in there own rights. Give it a listen again and be surprised in the work .
