So true. Reminds me of when we took our son, who was five at the time, to Disney. He participated in “Jedi training.” There is a part when the padawan’s have to fight Vader with a light saber and then use the force to close a door to lock Vader away. My son was so happy right after it was over. He felt empowered. Later though, on the train ride back to the car I could see he was deep in thought. To answer all of your questions, there is no sound in space since it is a vacuum. Sound can't travel through a vacuum. Very few movies actually don't give sound when their characters are in space. So true. Reminds me of when we took our son, who was five at the time, to Disney. He participated in “Jedi training.” There is a part when the padawan’s have to fight Vader with a light saber and then use the force to close a door to lock Vader away. My son was so happy right after it was over. He felt empowered. Later though, on the train ride back to the car I could see he was deep in thought. He turned to me and said, with a serious face, “I don’t think I really used the force to close the door.” I could see that he was thinking that the force wasn’t a real thing and he was sad about it. What do you say to a kid about that? Bitter sweet memory.

To answer all of your questions, there is no sound in space since it is a vacuum. Sound can't travel through a vacuum. Very few movies actually don't give sound when their characters are in space. Now Rineesh, haha, well the only way that the alien could detect the astronaut is if it could see infrared.
