He has real in-depth understanding on a wide range of topics with practical calculations too. When I stated my climate change analysis a couple of years ago, several of his online lectures were extremely helpful to improving my understanding on some of the science. I have much respect for his knowledge and his clarity in presenting things backed up by practical computational analysis.
