Thanks for the video. I live next to Danube in the upper part and I absolutely adore this river. The Danube gorge near Kelheim and the Weltenburger monastery is really great for walks. Also the isarmündung area (where the Alpine Isar river is joining Danube) is really nice for cycling with all the lakes and waterways around.
Well this channel is called “Kwik Facts” so I probably shouldn’t complain about the brevity, but I will anyway. I was really settling in for a long feature because this was such a good production. How about starting a sister channel: “Slow Facts”?

Why first give the length of the river in miles and then use metric units for the rest of the video? Get your act together. Use metric all the way? Good video apart from that.

Yeah that ain’t the Danube. The over head shots of the sunken boats and the people swimming is Frazer island in Australia. They sank them for a break wall.

Hippopotamuses used live there.
And indeed throughout Europe.
Very good 👍👍👍👍
Thank you so much!!
I just read it's a clean river? Nothing in there, not even a bone.
Great
Is Danube and Donau the same?
Yes! In English it's called Danube, while in German it's donau!
@@KWIKFACTS cool! And I assume the German pronunciation is “doe-now”? My family thinks that our last name originated from the river.
@@Falcon2.39-1 Nice to know!

You forgot to mention that water from the Danube flows into the Rhine.
Thank you for the timely reminder.
Where that?
@@BogdiFox search for Donauversinkung. Water flows into the ground and into lake Bodensee and thus is the Rhine.
ویانا کا شہر دریائے ڈینوب کے کنارے پر واقع ہے ۔۔۔۔کیا یہ معلومات درست ہیں؟؟؟
No! The Danube doesn't flows through venice
He said vienna, not Venice and yes, it's facts
@@khaias7822 Oooooh, thanks for the translation. Yes, it does flow through Vienna.
My favourite name "Danube"

the princess is at the top of worms cathedral in worms in southern germany
how do we climb the cathedral
the worms will cake the walls of the cathedral with dirt in which they will form handholds for you to grab a hold of in order to climb the walls of the worms cathedral in worms in southern germany
but the dirt has to come down eventually because it would look very gross to have the walls of the outside of the worms cathedral in worms in southern germany forever caked with dirt placed by worms
but the worms built the worms cathedral in worms in southern germany and that is why it is called worms cathedral
the worms also built the town of worms in southern germany and they came there on a raft flowing down the river danube
no one knows where the worms came from but they know that they can build buildings out of dirt and also cathedrals
the cathedral is not made out of dirt though because that would be gross
the cathedral is made out of bricks
idk what they are made of though
they are probably made from some rock
Dirtroch
yes
they brought the dirtroch with them on the raft and used it to build the cathedral
dirt does not easily stain dirtroch and that is why they uised it to build the cathedral because they knew that someday theyd have to use the dirt to climb to the top of the cathedral to save the princess of worms in southern germany
they can easily clean the dirt off the sides of the cathedral walls and they have done this many times
sometimes the worms will climb to the top of the cathedral just to look down on all of their handiwork in the city of worms in southern germany
the worms also sing songs though you cant hear the songs because they are underground when they sing
the worms sing about the dirtroch they used to build the cathedral
that is not the only thing they sing about beacuse they also sing about the dirt they dig to use to get to the top of the cathedral
they do not eat the dirt like other worms they eat birds that crawl into their holes that they dug in the dirt
the worms fashion the birds' hollow bones into instruments they use to play songs about the raft and the dirtroch carried on it
the bones can also be used to maked intricate designs on the floor of the cathedral
the patterns on the floor of the cathedral tell the story of how the worms brought the dirtroch from their home town of worms germany to worms
the dirtroch is what they used to build the cathedral
the dirtroch is a hard rock that is found deep in the worm caves that were found after the worms were digging in the dirt
the birds found the caves and were living in them when the worms came and killed them and began to harvest the dirtroch from that day on
the dirtroch does not easily dissolve when under water
this is why dirtroch is found at the bed of the river danube but for some reason the worms only found it when they killed the birds in the cave
the cave was not very large only large enough for birds to live in
but to the worms it was very large because they are smaller than birds
there are patterns oon the floor of the worms cathedral in worms in southern germany that detail the originial size of the cave and its many features before the worms harvested the dirtroch walls
the worms of worms in southern germany invented the camera and first used it to take a photograph of the caves which sourced the dirtroch and this photograph is thought to be lost but it was used to design the pattern detailing the caves which is on the floor of the worms cathedral
the worms cathedral has a roof
the roof is where the worms climb frequently
they come down from it often
Trick to remember the 10 countries it flows through. "HeR SCUMBAGS" . Just omit e.
