Good video. No rushing and all steps are presented. Not sure if intended, or because of YT, the soundtrack is missing. Explanations of different steps while working would make this excellent.
Thanks for that. Found heaps of vids for other Astra engines. Wanted to make sure there were no hidden bolts. Found the spark plug wells were full of oil. The gasket was badly hardened and brittle. Cheers.

Yeh it's a common problem especially with them creeping up in age and likely to be the original gasket
Really nice video:) I’m also planning to change the valve cover gasket. But do you know where the PCV valve is ? Want to change that to.
Same engine, leaking from rocker can this course oil to seep into the spark plug chamber aswell?
Yes, exactly!
@Street_Fitter nice one, I have a new one coming anyways, seems to be causing me hesitation problems ect aswell.
Nice video now I can do mine ;), are the studs different size?
Nah they're all the same length. Well it's not a bad job to do anyway just make sure you get the gasket lined up and pushed in then you'll be fine!
@@Street_Fitter cheers mate legend 🙏🏼
Did you find that it leaks on the half moons near cam gears, did you apply sealer as well?
You shouldn't need to use sealant, since I replaced the gasket it has stopped the oil leak
@@Street_Fitter okay yeah Strange mine is leaking more then normal from the same spot from last gasket
Take it off again and have a look make sure it's seated properly check for any cracks in the head
