First listened to this song while I was higher than a kite after trying weed for the first time. It genuinely took me on a journey. Like, shit was fucking magical.
Capricorn is an epic album. The first time I heard this song, it completely had me hooked from the very start. After that, I heard "Capricorn" and was totally blown away. Wow. These guys are very creative and their music is catchy, yet very original in their own right. And "Black Funeral" .......that bass line is epic.
Tell me about it. Heard it on my Discover Weekly playlist on Spotify, and I have added several more of their songs since, and Capricorn was a phenomenal album. Ozzy Osborne would love this.
@@stroberdolb9183 The Sword, Joe Bonamassa, and I found a cracking band from Brighton, England called Jøra the Førtuneteller, and they are a great band on the way up. They are on Spotify.
Jerome9157 I really hate the whole 'rip off' idea. Think vanilla ice; THAT'S a rip off. Taking influence from the art that you love and making it your own is just part of the creative process

They do have a similar sound but In my opinion they are different enough to be not judged as a rip off, who cares anyway, these guys are fucking awesome and deserve way more credit than they get
I've been listening to these guys on slacker and I love them. This album is no longer on there though. Neither is sign of the witch. They were all on there about a year ago. Either way this is a great band. Mouths of madness my favorite overall.
New to this genre of doom , drone , death stoner, stoner and sludge. And it a revelation I love playing in that style it suits my tastes and philosophy. Thank you for that grandiose compilation 🔥 ⚜️💯🔥
I went into this thinking "have I heard this before" and the answer is yes because this sounds like a carbon copy of Dio era Black Sabbath. You know what though? That's fine, I can't hate that shit. Someone has to introduce the roots to the new era of people just getting into metal. No one can replace Dio, or Ozzy, or Tony Iommi, but you can get as close as possible and this is as close as it gets. Keep on doing what you're doing Orchid. If you are wondering if I am high the answer is yes and you probably are too.
@@AnonymousRadioRedux are you sure? why would this song sing about it, it’s actually hard to understand what they are singing about in this song, (despite of the devil, whom they maybe view different because of occult knowledge). They're even named after a Sabbath track. Ha. Hey, if you're going to lean into a style of music, this is the way to go. Can never go wrong with being a little Sabbath-y.
Can hear Black Sabbath-National Acrobat and Led Zeppelin-The Ocean riffs too much !!!!!here. I mean I like Orchid but all these bands copied too much, I mean even myself I'm so fucking tough on myself if I sound just a little too much from someone else. These guys don't care at all here.
Somebody had to carry on the Sabbath legacy... better it be Orchid... Great album btw
I couldn't agree more.
Pentagram kicks major Sabbath ass.
honestly, as much as we want them to be, Black Sabbath won't be around forever and someone has to carry on that legacy. Orchid is as good as any
One True Vikingbard better ...
dont want another black sabbath, want another revolution in metal music.
Big Elf is a good contender
Yeah believe you there not even good then Vikings
Yeah dud
Sabbath worship at its finest black sabbath is the only church i trust
ugh! they aren't ripping off black Sabbath, they are inspired by them obviously which is a good thing. we need more bands like this.

@Zelim The only time something is ripped off is if it was plagiarism, and I highly doubt this song is.
Yeah, especially since Black Sabbath themselves departed from this sound and became generic.
Sabbath comparisons are usually a given when it comes to bands of this nature, but THIS really could have been on "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath." A+
Yeah I love other Sabbath sounding bands like sleep or pentagram but this one TOTALLY hits the Sabbath bloody Sabbath vibe

Yessss...
First listen and it is good. Love the vocals and the melodic guitars.
A NATIONAL ACROBAT
+K Mirra Plus No Quarter from Zeppelin

Early Pentagram meets early Black Sabbath. Cool.

What have they done to Mozart? A rape I say not being belgian
