    • @ninoalvarez7604
      @ninoalvarez7604 4 месяца назад

      Oh boy, narcissistic know it all's!!!
      Obviously you all are only familiar with captive bred snakes so you're going to assume your worst for other people's snakes. It's pathetic, we all know you just want to be heard...
      On the other hand ..... A snake this size will eat a nest full of baby birds in a tree. .not one, but the entire nest
      Also, pythons and boas do not get enough protein from mice, so always double up on mice for feeding. That is literally basic knowledge.
      Having a snake is not like having a cute cuddly puppy. They kill and eat things . Sometimes they kill something and not eat it. Captive and in the wild. They're opportunist animals.
      Last, unless you're going to Africa to buy dirt and antibiotics, I don't want to hear how an enclosure is better than the other. Once you take a snake out from the wild ,then it is now a pet snake and it can adapt to almost any reptile enclosure. Heat and humidity.
      The reason I mentioned antibiotics is because captive snakes do not have the same immune system as a wild one. (Depending on generation) .
      These animals are resilient and not fragile at all. I do not recommend this type of bedding for any animal that likes to soak in water because of the chemical reaction resulting to bacteria. But as we can see this snake is not that big to need to soak In order to poop plus the enclosure seems really dry.
      Please shut up and go learn about snakes.

    This is just bad practice and isn't good for your snake, nor a good look for the reptile hobby. While the snake is busy devouring one mouse, the free roaming mice could bite the snake and cause injury. After a snake has fed, digesting the prey is a very energy intensive process and it's not supposed to be hunting again.

    K, i really hope you can understand the following commenrts are purely because it may help your snake. I guess you didn't know, but that's dangerous for your snake 3 mice at one time. Not to mention stressful. Frozen thawed are better, no risk of the mouse biting/ scratching your snake, it also is good because your snake is in captivity feeding live makes them more aggressive, harder to handle and generally I just have found them to be happier on frozen thawed. But always thaw completely, heat in warm water with mouse in baggie or dry mouse off. Use tongs to feed. The snake will then associate those tongs with food.
    You should also feed your snake in a Rubbermaid tub. Although ball pythons are so docile, you can get away with it.
    Also, what type of bedding are you using? Pine and Cedar are toxic.
    Aspen and Cypress are the best for ball pythons.
    JFYI - My Qualifications-
    I ran a rescue mainly for exotics/excotics with aggesion issues or ones very sick becausr there owners didnt know better. Also aggressive dogs. I rehabilitated 450 reptiles in 6 years and 123 dogs. My specialty was snakes. Ball pythons and red tail boas. I've seen it all.

    • @dakotafox7831
      @dakotafox7831 Год назад +2

      Aspen is not the best, coco fiber is better because it holds humidity best. Aspen is more prone to mold. Moving to feed doesn’t help the snake and feeding live vs frozen/thawed is an owner preference. I do live mostly. More natural and I’ve never got bites or noticed any of my snakes more aggressive from feeding live. There’s no such thing as an aggressive ball python only defensive. For feeding though, by the size you want to do a small rat always go by the width of your snake.

    • @AtramentumBlackMetal

      @Dakota Fox
      I had an issue with coco fibers molding, getting stuck in the snakes mouths, and also with it molding. and even with bugs as I had a lot of different replies. An do you have to worry about biting? That is because you don't feed separate and frozen thawed. Once my boas and balls were totally rehabilitated from. My snakes never bit or were even aggetated when touching them, even handled them day before shed, which is pretty much O visibility. Which most snakes will become very aggressive during this time, mine did not. My feeding in the separate container is safe because you don't have any structure, for both snake and human no structure and substrate is best while feeding. The bite wounds in snakes that I've seen so terribly infected were from live prey. An not being fed in a safe container. Also i should have mentioned I leave all my snakes to digest in there safe containers for hours. Honestly, I am providing facts and reasons to support my choices. An this is only because I truly care about the well being of every captive reptile and have seen so many preventable mistakes that if the owners only were a little more educated, the snakes would have been fine.

    absolutely DO NOT feed you snake live rats!! they could seriously injure and even kill your snake, specially if you put 3 of them in the same enclosure

    Feeding 3 prey at 1 time is not healthy for your snake and can lead to things like regurgitation and even death. Should probably take this video down and reconsider how you feed in the future
